meguiars hot shine tire shine on wheels safe?
I bought some spray tire shine (no foam) and it works really well on the tires. I have some glossy black wheels and was wondering if it's safe to apply this to the wheels as well as tires.
My wheels have some swirl marks on them already and they are only 1 month old from the two or three times I cleaned them with a microfiber to remove contaminants and brake dust.
The tire shine seems to fill in the swirls and gives the wheels a nice glossy/ resin texture which I like plus it repels new brake dust from sticking to the wheel's painted finish and seems to repel water as well.
My concern is that the tire shine contains acetone. Can this dissolve the clear coat or damage the paint on my wheels? Does anyone else do this as a way to protect their wheels.
thanks.

A lot of people on here use a wheel sealant to achieve the same results. Not sure if the tire shine is bad or not for the wheels, but something like Poorboy's wheel sealant works wonders. It gives the wheels a little depth and makes them a joke to clean while being 100% safe for your wheels.
