30k service... idk what to say

So, this morning i got my 30k service done... idk what to say. I heard people calling it an "expensive oil change" but i mean this is ridiculous. $833.71 is what i paid

I feel your pain! That was about what they quoted me when I went by the dealership. Fortunately I had a friend of a friend that worked at the dealership so they didn't charge me for any inspections. All I had to pay for was the synthetic oil change @ $80. Thank god for networking skills!

did you read what is included in the full 30k service? every dealership will vary.

it's not like walking into a MickeyD's and ordering by which meal to get.

obviously it isnt like mickeyd's, but for what was done, there is no way in hell it should have cost that much. $487 of that was labor..

Guys, please use this forum to get referrals of honest, independent service specialist in your area. There is absolutely no reason to throw money way like this.

some dealers will include other services in the full 30k service.

having a 30k service done is very vague- --
you get a customer copy so just tell everyone what exactly you have got done. I'm sure you read the federal mandated sign that said $120 per hour labor or so forth.

Wow, I didn't know it's going to be this high.
But you know.. that mechanic who worked on your car only got a small pie of that.. The rests went to the shop owner.

I am glad to see ppl are still spending this kind of money on tough economy.

I would love to see your invoice for that service. That just seems out of this world.

My 15k was today.would have been 480ish but was only 110.
Decline tire rotation
Declined cabin filter change. They also checked it and it was fine.
Fuel system cleaning was not needed.

So just oil change and engine intake filter change.
