front bumper detail help
My front bumper obviously has a lot of bug acid on it but it is speckled with what looks like little tiny rock chips and there is a lot more bigger rock chips is there anything I can do detail wise to get the speckled look and build in bug acid off the front bumper? Or would my only hope be a new bumper cover and repaint the Hood I've tried clay bar on the speckles and they still wont come off I don't know I'm at a loss here I've had the car for one year I just feel like the Infiniti paint is so thin the little gravel will put huge chips in it. I don't know please help
Thanks guys

as far as bugs go...if they have been on there for >24 hrs you are pretty much screwed. I carry a MF towel and cleaner in my trunk and anytime I get out of the car if there are bugs on the front I spray it down and wipe it off immediately. It takes MAYBE 60 seconds.
You need to get bugs off right away since, as you can see, their guts will eat away at just about anything
I've used both these and they both work great:
Chemical Guys Grime Reaper A.P.C. - 16 oz | Detailed Image
Chemical Guys Bug Bugger & Tar Remover - 16 oz | Detailed Image

yeah i know my products kinda suck i need to put in a nice order to detailed image i pretty much just have the blackfire polish protectant and wax that's it i need other stuff from there because the autozone products and walmart microfibers just aren't cutting it

the Blackfire Kit is an amazing kit...and it will protect great, but bug guts and other acidic stuff will eat right through it unfortunately.
Autozone and WalMart (and comparable MF stuff) can actually do more harm to the car than good

yeah yeah i know it's laziness and lack of me wanting to wait for shipping products and pay a couple extra dollars for good products i think i need to invest in a nice buffer too it would really speed up the time it takes me to do a nice job on my car detailing it i do it all by hand because i'm scared to really screw it up with a buffer you know but the time it takes me is like a full day if not more and it's like i just don't have that time

yeah a buffer definitely makes it a ton easier...also with things like the Blackfire products (and most other compounds/polishes/etc) it is impossible to truly get it worked into the paint by hand. Your hand simply can't move fast enough with enough pressure to work it in
