303 Aerospace application

ITS SUMMER!!!!
and i figured that since im back home (from school) and i dont get to park in the garage i might as well try that 303 Aerospace that everyone has been talking about. It gets quite hot down here in socal and the black interior doesnt help (i have 35%tint ).
I applied the 303 after a Meguiars QID wipe down AT NIGHT when the leather isnt super hot.
This is what happened as a result...
white sploches here and there.... is it normal? It quite difficult to remove as i have to apply some pressure with a wet microfiber.
has this happened to you?
*it might be hard to tell with my ****ty phone camera

I wouldn't recommend 303 Aerospace Protectant for leathers. It's not really for that, only vinyls and dashboard. Use Lexol or Leatherique for cleaning and restoring it. Good luck.

would it be fine on the dash and the side door panels (in the G)?
if so, i still get that white sploochy streaky stuff.
Also, i didnt intend for 303 aerospace to clean or restore. i kinda wanted it to act like "sunblock" for my car interior, in a sense.

It will be fine on the dash and side door panels, but not on the leather part. You'll not get any white sploochy stuff as i use it too. Remember not on leather. Lol

same as n_jay said, the 303 isnt meant as a leather product. use lexol.

and for anything, you shouldn't put it on when it's super hot. either do it early in the morning or evening when it's cool.

It seems to be a pretty common misunderstanding that interiors require UV protection. Modern car windows filter out 95%+ of UV rays. Add tint to that and you're at 99%. Now if we're talking about convertibles than its a different story. But excessive heat should be more of a concern than UV rays.

Ok how would you adress the head issue? Other than having tints and using windshield sun shields when parked.

Cockpit Premium protects surfaces from fading due to heat. Water based protectants such as Leather Masters and LTT Solutions do the same thing for leather since they add small amounts of moisture to the leather.

Chances are you simply over applied the 303. Apply it as thinly as possible, using a damp microfiber towel, then follow up with a dry towel to ensure no streaking or blotches. 303 is fine to use on leather, vinyl, rubber, plastic... My guess is you just used too much and perhaps applied in a non-effective way.
