Bird poop droppings baked in sun, need help!

Hey guys,

A bunch of metro Detroit birdies decided to take out their anti-Black hatred on my black G and I got about 2 decent sized poop splats on my car. And with my luck it happened while I was in school and while my car was out in the hot 85 degree and sunny weather we have up here now.

I used a wet microfiber towel to remove the bird turd but with the pounding sun and car left unattended for hours, it is too late, there are some stains in the clear coat that you can see very well in the light.

What do you guys/experts think I can do to minimize appearance at least, if not hopefully near repair it?

I am hoping to not have to buy any new products. I do NOT have a clay bar, but can buy if necessary.

Currently I own:
  • Porter 7424
  • All the starter kit pads
  • Meguiar's Paint Cleaner
  • Meguiar's Scratch X
  • Menzerna 106FA Polish
  • Microfiber towels

Welcome to black car hell. If it left a mark the only way to get it out is to buff it out. Claying won't do anything.

Sucks

Birds tend to like ****ting right around where they perch. Avoid parking near street lights, trees, and walls of buildings.

I haven't had a bird **** on my car since I've had it (knock on wood).

I know there are times where **** will just happen though.

My advice is to beging by spot washing (or whenever next time clean the car), clay bar about 1ft by 1ft area around the damage and begin making passes with ur PC (White pad) and Menzerna 106FA Polish. If you see improvements, make another pass with same polish. If no improvement use an orange pad and finish with a white pad. Don't worry it'll be fine you have the tools to correct it. Funny you mention it bcuz I have the same problem right now, yesterday some bird **** on my hood and the pain is etched already. Oh well.

The clear is probably burned, can't be removed.

Update:

Now upon inspection after a few days I am having a hard time even seeing the marks. Is it possible it went away on its own? I doubt it but we shall see. I will clean the area it happened and snap and post a pic here ASAP.

Thanks for the suggestions thus far guys. Sometimes I get so depressed about the paint flaws in my black paint that I leave the car dirty so the dirt hides the blemishes. I've been so lazy this summer. I've only had 2 proper wash & waxes since winter has been over.

And Chi town thanks for the happy advice, lol!

Bird poop contains oils and stains that will discolor wax...but sunlight will basically fade everything.

I had the same problem on my black car... The droppings stained fast because of the heat. The only way to remove them is to do some wet sanding, polishing, and waxing. Take it to a detailer. I had my whole front hood done for like 20 bucks, not bad.

I have like 5 of those shxxs. It really doesn't matter whether it is hot or cold I had a few over colder weather and if it dries on your paint it is just screwed. I've tried clay bar and dr. scratch with no results... =(
