We have said it countless times on here regarding cost vs install. You paid good money for the most professional of results which you clearly didn't get. I don't have my G anymore so I can't get you photos of my mirrors, but I can tell you it was a very clean one-piece job and not like the photos you posted of yours.

well i spoke with the installer today, and he said he uses extel patterns, and it's a two-piece that doesn't cover the entire mirror. sounded fishy to me. when i suggested he cover the rest by using a stencil and then pre-cutting the piece, he said okay. definitely not the most professional job, but what can i do?

he also conceded the hood was improperly fitted, and so he will ask his boss if he can redo it by wrapping the hood next time. there are a few other places where i pointed out large gaps, but he didn't say anything. at this point, ill just take the mirror inserts and a redone hood and forget about the rest. 3/16" gaps i guess i can live with.

i took some more pictures which are a smidge better.

the arrows point to the film edges, and between them is unprotected. does you car have that?

from another angle

hard to tell the size but that gap is about 3/16". am i being too particular? the other side is flush.

right by the wheel well.

hope these are easier to see.

You got some big gaps there, but gaps are always better than X-acto cuts into the paint! Just seems like they didn't fit the pattern very well for you and hurried the job.

I need some help on deciding if I should take the dealer offered packages for maintenance - Essential or Premium or is the price of 1300 for premium justified? Essential is oil changes and tire rotations and premium is a host of all other checks/inspects. What about Venture Shield offered by the dealer for $695? Can it be gotten for cheaper outside? Any advice is greatly appreciated..

Here's a few more pics of mine... The gaps are very small. Hard to take pics of clearbra so hopefully you can see.

I had the dealer (dealer used a 3rd party) do mine before I took delivery of G37 coupe for 700 and they did an awesome job. The going rate is 700 with others and I figured if anything went wrong then the dealer was liable.

wow thx a lot bro. those pictures are very helpful. i can see you got an excellent job on yours. i shouldve gone XPEL, too, but at the time i hadn't heard of it before so i went with 3M. but XPEL is easier to install i heard.
