I usually keep a micro fiber towel and some QD in the car for just this reason. Go here for all the knowledge you need.

The following are typically the steps for removing those nasty bird bombs.

1. Wipe ist down with an MF towel and a QD. My personal preference is Poorboys Spray & Wipe. It has lubricants in it so it won't scratch the paint surface.

2. If a QD doesn't work, use a claybar with a lubricant. Again, my preference is PB's S&W.

3. Polish using compound via a Porter cable, Flex, etc.

Just to ad that Tutrtle wax bug and tar remover works great at removing all bird crap and also any type of sap. You just have to spray it on and let it sit for like 5-10 minutes then lightly wipe off upward not to scratch paint. You may have to repeat doing so about 3-8 times.

After doing so bird crap leaves etching in the clear coat and that can 99% of the time be removed quicky with a quick pass of a high speed buffer or a ton of elbo grease if you dont own one.

Some fekn' birds bombed me. After gently removing it, I still see stains in the clear coat. I Googled and found a recommendation for Sonus SFX-2.

Is this any good? Is there anything better?

Things I'm going to keep in my trunk from now on; a micro towel, "wax", and a pellet gun.
