bugs and clear coat
I just cant stop bitch'n about this clear coat they use on our cars!! I need help on what else I can do. I live in the hot south and if I get a bug guts on my hood (i have a black car) at work and drive home, by the time I get home and wipe the guts off they have already marred the clear coat. I use a sealant and a wax, what else can I do?

I have had bug guts eat deep into the clear coat in a matter of hours. There isn't much you can do except to always have some protection on your finish (sealant, carnauba, or both) and get them off as soon as possible to minimize the damage. If they etch into the clear coat, only polishing will get them out. I have had bugs eat into the clear bra on my car and was unable to get the marring out.

Once you have removed the bug debris, rinse and dry the surface and apply a coat of Collinite 845 Insulator (synthetic) Wax. Bug debris is acidic and no wax or sealant will protect a surface from acid, but used as a sacrificial layer it will lessen the damage
