I would say get it. I am about to get one, and wish I had gotten it immediately after getting my G. I have 6K miles now and already have 2 or 3 nicks on my hood. I've never had a car get got nicked up like this one.

YES, a clear bra is a necessity. If you want to help maintain a high resale value, want to keep your front end paint job looking nice, and are OCD about paint chips/nicks/bug stains.....you 110% need a clear bra. I love mine (I've got VentureShield) and it has done a GREAT job. Lifetime warranty against bubbling, yellowing, peeling, etc. A little pricey at first, but in the end, you'll realize it's a great investment. Good luck!

I also got the Ventureshield applied 2 days after I got my car. I researched a bit and this product was very positively reviewed. 3M is the other common film but many people find it to have an orange peel look (they're all clearcoated) and I've seen some that have yellowed but apparently the newer versions don't. Also, 3M bought out Venturetape (the maker of Ventureshield film) but it's still a separate product.

It's barely noticeable unless your within 2 feet of the car. If you go the the ventureshield website they will list any local installers.

Yep. Get it done. Mine came with it from the dealership. You won't regret it.

I installed a kit on an 08 G37 with 1500 miles on it. I was shocke at how many chips it already had in it. If/when I go from my G35 to a G37 it will be installed before it leaves the dealership floor.

For $600, what coverages do you get? Partial hood, bumper, fenders, side mirrors?

Clear Bra is a must. I paid $475 and I got: Bumper, 1/4 Hood, Mirrors, Fenders... you can always go ball'a style like Jeremy (BlackBetty) and have the entire hood treated!!

For partial hood, bumper, and fenders be prepared to spend $600-$700 for VentureShield. My install was $695 for the above areas. Side mirrors were an add-on price which I didn't get at the time, but now I wish that I had. So, if you can get your mirrors done with the other mentioned areas....that's a great deal for around $700, IMO.

I paid $695 which included the standard bumper, partial fender, 1/3 hood, mirrors, headlights and a small piece at the trunk opening along the top of the rear bumper.

You can wash and wax like normal and the paint underneath will not fade any differently than the rest of the car since it doesn't have an UV filtering.
