awesome!! Did it help a little bit with the swirls as well? I notice a few in the first pic, but the last one doesn't have any.

Swirls are completely gone. No hazing.

M105 is amazing. Follow up with Scratch X 2.0 and it's a deadly combo.

Also, keep in mind that I did this by hand in under 5 minutes. No power tools.

The link provided on the first page specifies that M105 was used for one bird dropping, and ScratchX was used for another, but they didn't seem to used both (one following the other) for the same instance. It sounds like this is what you did. Did the M105 not finish it up properly that you needed to used ScratchX?

just be careful with the scratch shield paint. a bird dropping on that in high heat might cause the clear to stain. just some advice

I just got an etching this morning! I think I'm going to wait for a day, like some of you mentioned, and see if it magically disappears. If not, I'll buy some M105.

I actually just removed the etching. I found some original ScratchX and applied the stuff multiple times until it was 95% gone. You can still see the outlines if you stare at the infected area.

I'll give it a good wax next week to remove all traces.

I've two spots that look exactly like that on my hood (same story, bird crapped on it while I was at work). I'm going to give what you did a try...

And this is why Simoniz System 5 is necessary for OB paint. I had a bird crap on mine....got home and hit it with a hose and perfection. System 5 works.

Can you buy Meguiar's M105 at the local store or did you order it online?
