Buffer Burn... Grrr....

So, yesterday I bought a 2008 g37s - Black exterior. Today I got to see it in full sun light. Unfortunately, some monkey-head who thinks they knew something about detailing a car ended up giving my paint job buffer burn. Now I have swirls all over the car- Very noticeable to me. The dealer gave me two options

1. Bring it Back with full refund
2. $250 to have a detail shop fix it.

What would you do and what kind of result can you expect?- this guy probably used a power buffer

Payed 32,000 for a G37s coupe with nav, premium and a measely 4000k miles- so good deal. I've been driving it now for a day and absolutely I LOVE this G37s.

dealer pays for the detailing! find the most expensive place and give the dealer the bill. my brother just bought a brand new STI and they said it was on the showroom...he got it at night and when he saw it the next day...there were scratches all over the front bumper.....dealer fixed it at their expense

^+1 - You got a good deal, don't return the car make them pay the $$ to get a detail from YOUR preferred person since they've proven their retards can't do it..

Definitely get the detail job. You got a good deal on your G, I wouldn't take it back to the dealer at that price.

BO cleans up nice - check around the forum to see how others have done it.

Bring it to a quality detailer for sure.

Where are you located so we can help you find a quality detailer?

$250 is not enough for any quality detailer I know. Most I know would be in the minimum $400-500 range.

So tell the dealership that you have been checking with some quality detailers in your area and its going to be $500. I am sure they would rather pay you $500 then take the car back. Be polite and firm.

I agree 100%. A cheap paint correction detail is never going to be a good one. I guarantee the $250 dealership detail is going to be crap. Let us know where you're located and we will help you find a quality detailer.

Get the most best and expensive detailer in your area to take care of it and then hand them the bill. This is just another... What's the best way to f*ck the dealer thread.

go back to the dealer and be firm with them when you tell them you want a new car. you do have that right. Ask to see the Dealer manager.
