Yes I was aware I just needed to vent and didn't feel right about starting a new thread.

I've done hand washes with all known proper methods/products out there on my previously owned cars, I still ended up with swirl marks. Maybe there are something I just don't get. And finally I had enough and told myself never hand wash car even though for touchless car wash the results will not be as good.

^ lol. yes, even the most careful handwashes will eventually lead to marring - that's inevitable. but usually periodic waxes are enough to restore the un-marred finish. full details are not required for this amount of correction.

I specifically tell the dealer twice.. no blender! The last visit I even put a post-it on the dash. Wouldn't be so bad if my Infiniti dealer had a touch free but this on is a "soft touch". No way!

And I bet the dealer thinks you're crazy thinking they're doing you a nice favor...NOT! I would make them fix it, and not them fixing it either..by a professional.

Been there done that. The dealer actually gave me a full (inside and out) detail. Now my work ouders are all marked "DO NOT WASH". Usually dealers to a lousy detail, this was perfect, no swirls, no gouges, just baby butt smooth.

A bit surprised to see this thread. I just got my G37 last week and the dealer did their detail which of course included wash and interior. The car looked pretty good. No swirls, nothing. Looked pretty good. Obviously not as good as what a lot of people here do with full detailing, just didn't see a lot of the problems a lot of people talk about.

Depends on the dealer, the last one I worked at we only did full handwash with reverse osmosis water and microfiber everything. Not 1 machine was ever used. The one I work at now....

Oh yes... I know about the horrors of a car wash with my previous BO G. What made my story a bit unique... is the fact that the car wash scrubbers yanked off my car mirror THEN! banged it all all along the left side of my car end to end.

Of course the car wash did not accept responsibility. So dealer or no dealer, I am only washing my car from now on.

They didn't do anything. Fortunately it is covered under comprehensive coverage with my insurance policy.

I wouldn't advise anyone to go get their car washed at one with brushes. Has to be brushless or hand wash only.
