Thumbs up Paint Protection Film (PPF, ClearBra, etc)

So today, my local Infiniti dealer arranged for me to have a clear bra installed on my '09 G37 coupe. The company who did it used VentureShield film. I've got to say, I was concerned about the line on the hood or other parts of the front end; however, let me say this.....it is HARDLY VISIBLE! I'm honestly so impressed with the results. At certain angles, you CANNOT see the line on the hood/fenders....even standing up close. It literally disappears. Granted the color of my car helps (Plat Graph), but the film is so clear, and it works best on darker colored cars. I'm going to take pics soon to show the work.

The reason for this post is to encourage the numerous new G owners to consider the investment into a clear bra. You will be rewarded with protected paint on the area of our cars that take the most abuse. Google: ventureshield. I hope this helps! Pics tomorrow.

Excellent investment. You'll be glad you did it. I had it on my G35 and now on my G37.

Pick up some Plexus for your cleaner... It will greatly prolong the life of your Clear Bra...

I had the Venture Shield done to mine, best quality I've seen so far.
In the past I've used Autobahnd, no where near the quality and shine of the Venture Shield.

Make sure you give the film time to cure out before you put anything on it. Its like tint in that it needs to air to get all the water out from underneath. Once its cured (depends on the weather but 3 weeks is a good rule of thumb) then apply a good quality wax, Zaino, Zymol... to it. It will protect the film from bugs and improve the lifespan of the film. You will be very happy with VentureShield. I have had great results installing it over 3M. Much better quality film.

The 3M Clear Bra was the best investment I have made for my car. The paint on our cars is quite weak, and the clear bra has saved my car during numerous occassions from road debris.

I have 3M on a GTI and Ventureshield on G37. Most important thing in my opinion is the installer....which I learned the hard way. Once I solved that problem, I would give Ventureshield the advantage over 3M but not by a huge margin. Both seem to be doing real good so far and you got to love them even if all you get is a ton of bugs.

The Best way to go is to ask to see the Installers previous work if at all possible.

3M pre-cut kit here. Installed myself as this wasn't the first time using the stuff. No imperfections and did it for about $80 and three hours of time on a Saturday.

What does a dealer or vender charge for this?
