wat i like to do is take my car to this local gas station's carawash...usually exxon or chevron has it...one of those no touch carwash...uses high pressure water spray..i run it through there for $3 or $4, forgot how much it is, to hose down the car real good...then take it home and clean myself

sold. going to give this a try during the winter. Anything is better than salty/snowy dirty cars. I have to read through and find a list of things to order...from towels to mitts to wax and soap

^ Take a look at post #45 in this thread, that will answer your question. Personally, I always hose mine down first at a local coin op.

Another product that I would highly recommend that is similiar to ONR is QEW (Quick & Easy Wash).

Love it love it love it love it love it. 09 G37x Blue Slate w/ONR one bucket FTW!!!!

FYI if I do get particles on the MF towel I'm using to wipe down the car with I just swap it out. I have plenty of MF towels if need be. I did just go with P21S Total on the wheel wells after getting leaves stuck up in there and that combined with being able to ONR in the garage on a rainy day and it came out amazing (as usual.) I put it under a halogen tower and it does not haze or marr up the finish (I go one panel at a time and then waffle weave to dry.)

Love it!

Thumbs up

Just ordered a big jug for the winter. Can't wait! I have only driven it two days since I got it and it is caked with salt.

I haven't cleaned Betty in a long time and she looks horrible. I forgot about ONR as an option. I think Im going to give her a bath tomorrow.

This would have been a lot easier than going back into the house repeatedly to fill up 5 buckets of water.

Used today

Well I got my order in recently and I finally got around to trying it out. The car was thick with salt. Seems to have done a good job but by the time I finished it was dark out and my garage does not have good lighting.
Looks great in dim lighting though!!
The salt is all gone and I followed the instructions. Only downside, right now, is that I see some swirls under the florescent lights. I used several small MF towels to wash, wipe and dry. If it looks streaky in the daylight, I will go all over it with a towel.
First time it's been clean since I bought it (Dec. 22nd).

The temp in my garage is in the 40's (F). Should the stuff work properly? Might this have something to do with the streaking or just my incompetence?

You should be alright with washing with ONR in the 40's. I've done it in cooler temps than that and haven't had any issues. In fact my poor G is getting snowed on as we speak and I plan on doing an ONR wash when I get home from work later today (we should have a high of 40 when it's all said and done today.) If it's still streaky you could mix up a detailer solution with ONR in a squeeze bottle (I can't remember the mix off hand but I've done it and it works great) and use that to get the streaks out.

If I think of it I'll take a couple of snaps of how it looks at the start and at the finish. Ugh I should've taken my 99 G20 to work instead but it's a little late for that.

Thanks to the OP for this thread. Up here in Jersey I think it would meet my needs for a couple of months in the year. Lately we've got snow and road salt and I'm dying to get some Zaino on my '10 with clear bra on its way. To me it's just as easy to get the G washed period but I'll have a bottle.
