Is it true? No claybarring the new self healing paint?

I've not heard any official ruling on the "dont polish the paint" stuff and the only source was Mike@Riverside, who never explained to me how claybarring or a mild polish will remove the self-healing clear coat except to say that it produces too much heat? When I polish my cars the paint is certainly cool to the touch... they are exposed to FAR greater heat in the Texas sun. And as far as abrasive, they are exposed to far more abrasion if you let your dealer wash the car, or if you ever wash off caked on dirt.
So... in short, I don't believe it at all. The wife's 09 FX doesn't mention it in the manual at all. Under the hood, it does say that special paint should be used by any bodyshop repairs... but that's the only mention of it.

so... what if you are in an accident and have to repaint parts... do they paint on this "self-healing" paint... if so, does that mean the 08's get the self-healing paint if we need our cars repaired for whatever reason?

^^ it's simple, the car will heal itself and look good as new...lol
they would have to repaint it and apply a special clear coat, it will never be the same or as good as the factory application of the healing paint
