I've seen Jeremy's car up close. His entire front (all of his hood, fenders, bumper, 1/4 of roof and mirrors) have clear-bra. I would trust his word on this.

The Plexus got my clear bra clean and shiny but didn't help any any scratches. Kind of like how waxing a cars paint won't take out a scratch either, only make the car's paint shinier. Polish it like the rest of the paint.

As far as why it bothers us, that's just a stupid comment. Why we got it is to protect the cars finish and keep our car looking great just like everyone else. I've never seen anyone ask why a scratch in the paint bitters the owner, so why do you think it would be any less bothersome to have a big scratch on your car with a clear bra? I guess some people just care less than others about their car's appearance.

Cool. That's good to hear. I must be thinking of the clear bras that don't have a "hard coat" on top of them. I know Ventureshield's used to be like that up until a little while ago, but I don't know if any of the clearbras around now don't have it.

I guess you probably could use a regular polish, I just like to use a plastics polish since they flash quicker, and are a bit less abrasive.

It all depends on what type of film you have on your car. Every film is a little different. Do not use a buffer on it unless your installer says its ok.

+1 to Black Betty using a Menzerna polish. I've had good results with SIP and IP, but PO106ff or a nano polish isn't enough cut for the plastic.

Not sure I agree here. Sure you need to consider what kind of film, but typical clear bra materials used these days are fine to polish. If you have something like Llumar, 3M, Avery-Dennison, etc film you are fine to polish.

90% of installers will recommend AGAINST polishing, because all they do is install it. They don't maintain it.

I do both because I have it on all 3 of my vehicles. I have noticed that different films react differently to certain polishes and cleaners. I never recommend using an abrasive polish on any film... period. Some films you can use heat on and it will help heal the film, some you can use isopropyl alchohol, while others you just cant get the scratch out no matter what you try. Thats why I recommend asking the installer first... then if you screw it up you can put it on the installer because of his recomendation. For some of my clients I will just replace the film for them no questions asked. A nice looking clear bra brings in more business than one that looks terrible and hasnt held up well.

I look at it this way though, at least its in the film and not on the paint. Much easier to replace a piece of film than to have a panel repainted.
