^ thanks alot for your info bro, but I think I should send them to a wheel repair shop cuz I've tried other Metal Polish Products and none seems work even Mother's Billet Polish that George at DetailedImage told me to give it a shot.

Polish is not a "coating" it is a condition. What looks to have happend to me is the car wash used some sort of acid wash. It is bad that it was used but also looked as it was left on the surface to long, penetrating the surface. It either damaged the protective layer, tarnished the metal underneath or both. Check with the manufacture to see, if or what, the protective coating used is and what they recomend. The wheel might need to be stripped and recoated.

If the wheel has a coating, any polishing first effects the surface only and has to cut through the coating before you would see any change. This means big buffing wheel not hand polishing.

Good luck, keep us up to date with the resolution

Looks like what "knock off" rims do when you use harsh cleaners...

if you dillute it properly, it won't have any adverse affects, just neutralize the pH afterwards by spraying it down with car soap.

Aw ****, sorry to hear man. I was talking to my friend today and he's in the process of getting quotes to get this wheel refinished (he curbed the wheel AND has that white crap on it) at different wheel repair shops. Initial quote is $150-200 to refinish the lip, but I dunno the details.

I'm kinda newb: why do you need to "hard anodize" them???

well cuz the Manufacturer does hard anodize coating on them. If I need to get them refinished then I have to get the fronts done too to make fronts and rears match.
