Need help after using PC7424

I pressed down until I thought I heard the tool sound different - I would call it a medium pressure, but no more. If I new what was causing the swirl I would change how I am doing it.
I did notice that as I was polishing there was a slight bit of powerdering, but I assumed this was normal.
What combo would you sugest?

I have to disagree greatly. 106ff and a black pad reveals a greatly refined finished, althoguh typically all one would need is a white pad and 106FF

The beauty of 0106ff is that is finishes down extremely well. I don't see how using a non-abrasive black pad with 0106ff will help with the OPs issues.

I understand that the pad and polish work together, but are you saying there is no benefit at all with just the polish doing the work even if the pad isn't abrasive?

thats the exact point, not to use any abrasion from the pad, and let the polish do the fine work. When running into cases such as this, where there is still very fine marring, its best not to introduce more abrasion by using a "light polishing pad" but instead switch to a finishing pad, and just let the polish do the work.

update
success, no swirls! So I started by just trying the PO106ff and black pad but that only helped a little, so I went with what was suggested on this threads advice. I ended up going orange with PO106ff then black with PO106ff. Now I know I should have gone white then black but the finish was so glass smooth after the orange that I thought I'd give the black a try and it turned out really nice. This was my first time so I didn't do the whole car incase I had messed up, but I did the hood, the fenders and the bumper. There are some deeper marks that will require the SIP and orange, but that will have to be for another day - my wife gripes if I spend too much time on the cars.

well PO85RD is really best for finishing though with a black pad.
This is my typical pad/combo lineup for Menzerna
Power Gloss-Purple Foam Wool
SIP-Orange
106FA-White/Green (I like this better than 106ff)
