buy a clean wash mitt, dont use anything old,
get some gold class car wash, bucket,
be gentle on the paint, i wouldnt use any harsh chemicals.
wash at night like after 7pm not in direct sunlight.
do some research in other fthreads for more details.

dude there are a lot of good threads on how to properly wash your car to avoid scratches and swirls as much as possible. They show you the process and the equipment suggested.. Be ready to do a lot of reading, but it's worth it in the end. That's what i did, and I learned a whole lot. Check this out also... http://www.detailedimage.com/auto-de...and-drying.php

I've always used the Mr. Clean autowash, just buy a good mitt to wash with only use it maybe 3 times per sides with a goood rinse after each use to get the dirt off and by not drying it by hand that helps out as well.
