As mentioned a few times, don't put anything on your rims tha tyou wouldn't put on the paint on the car... Limit the products to soap, water, and an occassional wax. I recommend a carnuba wax or zaino (no cutting polishes)

wheel black spots: remove via warranty replacement

Rec'd four new 18" wheels today from dealer via Infiniti warranty. service writer wrote "replace four wheels under warranty due to poor factory paint finish, primer bleeding through" p/n aluminum wheel-D0300-JL048. I wonder if black primer was put on w/ thick spots that the "titanium" paint could not cover properly? "Before" picture attached of typical spotting.

This happened to me today grrrrrr. It is from the wheel cleaner and it really ticks me off because I have been using it for years on my stock audi rims and have never had a problem. To anybody trying to fix this problem give up because your only gonna make it worse. The black spots are from the primer and the only thing you can do is to repaint them. I highly advise anybody with stock wheels not to use wheel cleaner on them. I guess this gives me an excuse to paint my rims black haha.

My wheels are starting to show some black spots as well. My car is an 08' with only 8k miles on it. Pisses me off that this is happening to a $45k car but I guess all cars have their drawbacks... Anyway, does the warranty cover this issue?
