Your Gs might be telling you, "Give me new rims, now!"

I've been using Meguiars Gold Class all wheel cleaner with great results. Simply spray on a dry wheel, let it soak for no more than 30 seconds and then rinse off. Keep in mind that when you use the gold class it will take off any wax that was applied to the wheels. I usually follow up with either a Zaino polish or if I'm not waxing the car, I'll spray Eagle One Wax as U Dry on the wheels.

Good luck

I have a couple of very small black spots on one of my wheels (almost like its peppered). Since I acquired this blemish I stopped using wheel cleaners.

OK
i had the same thing happen to my passenger side mags front and rear, i only cleaned it myself and never used products on it. I went back to the dealer and told him listen my mags are discoloring and you have to change them for me, i have one side turning black and the other is perfectly fine. So if i had used any products it would be on my 4 wheels. If he asks just tell him you used water to clean them and never put any products. After that they accepted to give me a new set of rims for the passenger side. Took 2 weeks or though, if you have any question you can ask me further and i'll tell you what to do. They claimed it was a problem with the mag had some sort of virus. Also you have 1 year warranty on your mag hope thats not passed yet.

I had a curb rash fixed by Mike at: http://www.repairmywheels.com/ He recommended that you use soap and water only to clean the wheels. If they are really dirty then a dilute solution of simple green could but used on a limited basis.

Chris I have the exact same stains and streaks on my 08 G37. Apparently we are not alone. I plan on pressing the issue with my local dealer. Thanks for post your pics so I can show them to the dealer. What is strage is that the face of the wheel is perfectly fine it is only on the sides of the spokes which looks the same in your pictures. I believe it is due to poor finishing. These wheels are painted not powder coated and what you are seeing is the primer under the grey paint. What a shame for such a nice car.

Looks like something got on there that's not agreeable with the paint on the wheels. SOme people have experienced somethin g like that after the dealer used wheel cleaner on the wheels. These wheels were made to be cleaned with soap/water.

My wheels never saw anything but soap and water. It has been hand washed since the day I got it. It has barely even been driven in the rain. It stays in the garage. The fact that his streaking and spotting pattern looks EXACTLY like mine is no coincidence. There is absolutely some type of defect or lack of paint on the wheels that caused it to wear thin simply from heat and stress.

I use Meguiar's ALL Wheel Cleaner, and car wash.. never had a problem. Apparently whatever soap your using doesn't agree with the paint.
