Wow, Blue Tape. That's news to me!
That's the story behind this stuff?
Is this the same stuff you'd want to use to mask off trim and chrome prior to polishing/sealing/waxing your car? If not (OFFTOPIC), what would be?

Alright, quick question.
I used some blue tape on the actual plastic trim of the car (specifically the lower portion of the window trim) and it left behind a noticeable residue. I haven't been able to get it out but I'm being cautious so I don't dull it or make it worse.
Any recommendations? The only thing that comes to mind is that Goo-off stuff.

I am also planning on using blue tape when I drive down to So. Cal next week. I am not worried about rock chips because I have a clear bra. I am putting blue tape because I don't want to have to clean all the damn bugs that splatter on the front of the car when I get to So. Cal. It is a PIA trying to clean bugs off the clear bra!!!

A good clear bra film should be easy to clean. What brand did you go with?
Wow where is that pick from? I cant beleive that many nice cars are using blue tape for protection... I hate to say it but it looks ridiculous.

I am only using blue tape because I don't want to take the time to have to clean my car, when the only part that will get dirty is the front from all the bugs from the highway.
When you drive on Interstate 5, the front of your car is covered with a million splattered bugs. If I use blue tape then all the bugs will come off by just taking off the tape. That is why all those people in the picture used blue tape.

Understandable. I drive the 5 all of the time... but do not really have a problem this time of year with bugs. Everything is dead and its a 100 degrees out...
I have my whole front end done also. When I get to where I am going I just keep a soap and water spray bottle in the car and the bugs come right off. I ebt if you think about the time you spend taping the car and removing it, cleaning the bugs off will be a lot quicker. But thats just my .02

I also just want to try the blue tape because I never have. I just want to see how effective it really is, since a lot of people praise it.
That sounds like a good idea with the soap and water bottle. I just might do that, thanks for the tip.
