Little brown specks?
Hey guys, I was just washing my car and noticed there are little brown specks stuck all over my car. I tried to use my nail and it sorta comes off, but there's still a brown stain left behind. Anybody noticed something similar on their car before? Will a clay bar treatment get them off?

I've had it for almost 4 months now, but because of the horrible winters here I haven't had the chance to wash it thoroughly myself until now, and noticed all these specks... damnit!
I wonder how much would it be if I took it to a detailer to do it... sigh

but yea, i was looking at my pain up close and saw quite a bit of brown spots. however if you run your figer over them, they appear smooth and below the clear coat. i didnt know what to do. i though my dealer was lazy and didnt clean the car thoroughly before applying the sealant.
.
i think its got to do with the slight cremish tone it gives our ivory pearls.

^ Well, whatever they are, I don't want them on my car (you shouldn't either)! They look like little rust stains, which makes me think they're from brake dust. I'm having a delayed panic right about... now.
I shall go get some Mr. Clean AutoDry and try it myself! Doing it old school with soapy water and sponge took me about forever today... lol

Sometimes it's "rail dust" from shipping. Essentially it is metal from the brakes and wheels of the train floating around during shipping that settle in the paint. Literally "melts" into the paint. You may have this if it's away from the shipping skin areas(those coverings on the hood, trunk, etc removed by the dealer).
