My sister spilled some coffee on my seat and cup holder after she thought it was a good idea to take my car while I was at work. Lucky she only spilled a little bit or man...

In my car...

Rule #1 - No eating or drinking!

Rule #2 - Please do not scuff up my doors when lifting feet into car.

Rule #3 - If you've made it this far then we are good...

I pretty much got most of the stain out, using folex, resolve, and I even rented a steam cleaner. I have a new problem now as all those cleaners have faded and discolored my carpet and it appears lighter than the stone color, sorta pinkish. My question is, since I used all those products and saturated the carpet with them, did I do any damage underneath the carpet? Like on the metal part the carpet rests on top of?

i am pretty sure its on the top carpet area. i dont think those cleaners would do you that damage as to going below. maybe you can just get a new mat? good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I called Infiniti of Santa Monica and they said a new carpet would cost 6 bills+tax, not including installation. Sucks. I'm planning on ordering some carpet dye spray, color matched to the stone carpet, from a company called CFI for around 65-70 bucks. We'll see how that goes.

This was the most expensive cup of coffee ever.

Damn you, Coffee Bean!!!

You didn't try the folex yet? There are so many products out there that should do the trick...

I did use folex, it didn't get it completely out. I used a bunch of stuff, actually, and they collectively faded the gray on the carpet. I'm still pissed.

Can you cover it up with something? All weather mats etc? I think that might help in many ways.
