Welcome to the club. My car looks beat up in the sun. I even found some water spots yesterday as I was washing the car that won't wash off! It seemed either to be etched into the paint or under the coat of wax.
Luckily, where I live there isn't much sun so you don't notice it as much.

The sun usually reveals all the defects on your car. Even halogen lighting at certain angles. Very helpful while buffing as you can see everything you normally wouldn't see under semi decent - poor lighting conditions.

Every time I wash my red G I notice scratches. They are hair thin lines in random places on my G. At first I thought that people working at the bakery next door are screwing with my car because they have always been a bit jealous that a young girl is driving such a nice car. But then someone told me that each time I wash my car I am actually scratching it. I already went out to buy some nice MF cloths... maybe its that stupid california jelly blade? I wash my husband's anthracite colored AcuraTL...but don't notice the same type of scratches on his car. Could it really be the crappy Infiniti paint?

its not "crappy" its just soft... use MF cloths and terry cloths... also dont even use the rag if it touches the ground... not even if you rinse it.. make sure you run it through the wash
