Turtlewax ICE

Turtlewax ICE
I recently bought a Turtlewax ICE kit for $30 and I love it. I was very skeptical but was amazed how easy this stuff was to use. It can be used on practically everything (paint, plastic, wheels, tires), there is no residue, and has a brilliant, wet shine. The spray detailer is especially nice to use between waxes as it takes only about 10 minutes to apply and it looks like you just wax it. I am not sure how long an application will last (says 3 to 4 months and paste is supposed to last longer than the liquid polish) but if it holds up at least a couple of months I am happy as it is so easy to use. I thought it was a heck of a deal at $30 for all you get and additional kits are only $20 at check-out. Great Christmas gift for lazy car car people.

I used it once on another car and thought it was awful. There are much better products on the market(Pinnacle Souveran, Zaino, Meguiar's, Autoglym, etc) that I would recommend over ICE. Just my .02 on the subject.

I think technique is going to play a lot into this. I've seen pictures of cars done with Meguiars (over-the-counter, relatively inexpensive) that look awesome. And I've seen cars with Pinnacle Sovereign ($70-$80 per jar) that also look fantastic.
I have used Duragloss 105 on my G37, and it looks pretty good to me. I'm sure it'll look better once I get a few coats of Aquawax on it. Once I get a random orbital/dual-action polisher and refine my technique and practices, I'm sure things will improve immensely. For now, I get a pretty decent look with just my hands, time, and elbow grease.
My GTI has a coat of Zymol (the blue stuff from WalMart) topped with Meguiars Gold Class and it looks really nice. I topped that with Aquawax 2 washes ago, and it took on a nice, wet look.
I think when it comes to car care products, you'll find there are people that will only buy 'boutique' products, some that are satisfied with whatever they can find at the local CarQuest or Pep Boys, and some that use a combination of items.
If you are happy with the results your chosen product gives, then you've picked the right product IMO.

Here is a review on ICE vs. Zaino system and the reviewer says ICE can achieve similar results but requires additional coats, however it is easier to apply and can be used on practically everything. He used the ICE liquid polish and did not try the paste, but I have tried both and found the paste to be superior to the liquid. I wish he would have reviewed the spray detailers as I found the ICE detailer to be amazing. The reviewer also points out that there is no cost advantage at retail prices between the products but at $30 for the special offer ICE kit, I think it is a steal of a deal.

Why is it when someone mentions Turtlewax it reminds me of the 1970's when my Dad used it on his cars? It was like the best thing back in the day, I don't even think there was carnauba wax; was there? I also remember something about Teflon wax during the 80's...
anyway...I used Menzerna FMJ and topped it with Pinnacle Sovereign on my OB G37. I like this combo a lot! I feel it's easier to use than Zaino. The gloss is deep and wet looking, it's like looking at a mirror, it's just phenomenal. I took photos but it didn't do any justice, it looks like all the other waxed G37s.
Maybe I'll use the ICE for my truck..thanks

Finally found a post on this...I have read many posts here saying TW is trash and I get that. I've been using the ICE because I can use it on all surfaces. I imagine there are better waxes-but the results on the non painted surfaces are what draws me to this product (used on my 2009 g37s coupe liq plat)..makes the black plastics look sharp. I'm curious on what people (pros) are using on the headlights/plastics ect. ?
