just used Z10 and wow, the new Z10 really does smell great... the Z10 I had 3 or 4 years ago just gave me a headache

I don't know - I washed the car with dawn again, used some Klasse sealant, and gave the zaino to a friend of mine.

Dawn for wash? i thought dishwashing soap was a no no. School me if you have to, maybe im lost....

they recommend washing with dawn before applying the wax, then using their soap or whatever car wash soap afterwards

I've found the same. To really remove all previous coats of protection, I use a combination of Isopropyl Alcohol and water in a spray bottle like a quick detailer. If you clay and polish afterwards, there should be no remains of any protection.
