GTA Window Tint
Hi Everyone - I'm new here, just picked up my 2008 G37s last week. I'm looking for a good place to get my tint done in the GTA, any suggestions at a reasonable price?

Would highly recommend Audio Heaven in Richmond Hill. Make sure you get the premium ones, called NR Charcoal by Solargard. Costs $220 plus tax including install and looks great.
What did you get? Sedan? Coupe? Color? Transmission?
Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.

Ok great, thanks for the suggestions! The car is 2008, PG on stone interior, G37s coupe, auto with nav. Love the car so far! A few minor problems, but could have just been sitting on the lot where I got it for a while. Need to take it to an Infiniti dealership to get tuned up. I live at Lakeshore/ Parklawn area, suggestions on nearby good dealerships?

I heard good things about autolinks too. I heard that the owner used to work for Audio Heaven but decided to open his own shop now. I could be wrong but either way I also heard good stuff about them. I personally never been there thou.

And for the dealerships around town .. i won't trust anyone but Alta .... i live quite far away from it too but its soooo well worth the drive ... Talk to Robert at service there .... super nice guy to deal with and he will fix you up all nice !! He seemed like the only one who acknowledged my issue (seat stitching coming apart at the back release?? button) and didnt give me a run around saying its "wear and tear" .... i have a brand new seat cover now and its all fixed to my satisfaction which is what i would expect from a luxury car brand !!

Awesome, thanks the advice about the specific tint for our PG colours, it looks great on your car! I will also check out Alta, I always feel more comfortable having a solid referral like this to a specific person.
Second question, where's a good spot to get the iPod adapter? The dealership?
thanks again!

^^^ i see that you have a Nav/Tech package so all you need is the cable... Costs like $60 at dealership but often you find someone selling used for like $25-30. So it's upto you if you want it right away then the dealership is the way to go. Note that most parts dept at dealerships give 15% discount on top of retail price. If one doesn't, go to another one. I used to get 15% discount for parts at Woodchester but since the time they separated Nissan and Infiniti parts store I haven't given it a try. Never tried Alta for parts.
The iPod cable from dealership will give you "irritating" access (I say that cause like any other adapter your controls from iPhone gets locked and your controls on the car like scrolling down the list get locked when you are rolling unless you have the override mod) ... But one thing which disappoints everyone is that it won't charge your phone. You will need to buy an adapter like the CableJive ($30) if you need to charge your phone as well. Don't buy the "easily" available Scosche one at Source cause that thing is made out of crap and keeps coming off all the time.

Ok great, thanks for the update on this. I might try Alta and see what they have if I can't find one used on here. I won't often be plugging my iPhone into it, I have a first gen video iPod I keep all my music on and will just let it sit plugged in all the time for the car, so not too worried about charging.
thanks again!
thanks again!
