ITB12027 for 2009
#2
2009 G37x Sedan - US/MD
I got the update today after 2 days of dealer holding the car and "finding nothing wrong". They asked me today to take the tech on a ride along to re-create the issue.
I pulled my Ace Card and brought in the service bulltin from Infiniti clearly showing ITB12-027 applies to '09's as well as the actual TSB and demanded the flash. Suprise. suprise, after 15 they found it and were applying it.
Long story short and 100 miles later, the final result is night and day. The shift experience feels completley different. Smoothe shifting experience all the way through the gears and back down. No hesitation, jerking, or lag. The ECU now really feels in control in all situations, highway and citi driving, slow and fast / aggressive. It holds all gears very well in all types of situations and is not tripping over itself or over thinking what it should be doing.
Now, it's still really early. I'll have to wait 2-3 weeks for the "learning" to see if this lasts. But it really seems like they got it right this time.
BTW, someone on an early post mentioned the changes in engine sound and exhaust tone. True, both seem much lower now. (running Gen 3 intake, stock exhaust.)<!-- google_ad_section_end -->
