New G37
Hi guys;
Great forum. I have read tons of posts here and I'm about to pull the trigger on a 4 year lease on a new 2011 G37X AWD sedan tomorrow, in Aspen Pearl, with a moonroof.
Haggling back and forth with a couple of places and I've managed to get a price around 41, 500 for the car, with monthly payments at 525 a month.
Anyone have any thoughts? Should I push for a better deal, or is this good as is?
Cheers, and great work on this forum.

Sticker as quoted to me was 5800 above this price; so around 47, 200. With security deposit and first month's payment, the lease rate they quoted me was 0.1%. No money down, and that figure includes freight and PDI, everything but a licensing fee.
I tried other dealerships locally and in a nearby city.

Drop it further all the way...say something ridiculous like $37k and tell them to call you if you want to make a deal...let them know thats the car you want and you're going to other dealerships.

What dealership are you dealing with?
I would be interested to know which dealer is knocking $7000 off the MSRP.($48540)
Even with the current $3000 factory to dealer rebate, the markup from dealer invoice to MSRP is around $4000.
Seems like you are already getting it at the dealers loss.
Im negotiating a 2011 G37S 6MT Navi and am grinding gears to get $2500 more than the factory $3000 rebate for a total off of $5500.
Thanks

It's more than just the factory to dealer rebate and theres no such thing as a dealer selling you a car at a loss...thats what dealer holdbacks are for
Dealer Holdback - Edmunds.com
selling you a car now under invoice and after exhausting rebates can still make them about $4k in a % markup and also by selling your loan to another bank for a profit of up to 10% of the price of the car depending on what lousy apr the buyer agreed to
also remember, the "invoice" is just an arbitrary number
they can sell you a car for whatever they want as long as they can make up for it on the back end.

Dealerships must have an inventory on hand so that consumers can browse and ultimately select a vehicle. Dealerships must pay for this inventory when it is obtained from the manufacturer, and the amount the dealer pays is the price reflected on the invoice from the manufacturer to the dealer, the so-called "invoice price."

According to the Edmunds link you provided, even the holdback is only about $600-$700 for Infinitis...not very much.
Perhaps 'at the dealers loss' was a poor selection of words on my part.
Anyway, I asked the OP because I wanted to know where they are shopping. I'm in Canada btw. Things are similar but not the same.
