You should ask him the next time we go out.
Your car will drive so diff without the drop.

^ i hear that, and i'm not a big fan of lugging a loaded car around all the time. but let's be realistic: cars are meant to carry passengers. at some point you'll have to deal with a full car, especially in a sedan.
my wife has a CRV which is great for car loads (and camping/recreation), but 165hp is not my idea of a great time. even though it is 5-speed manual, still it's a slug.
