Carling Ave. was rated 7th worste road in all of Ontario - go figure! Out of curiosity did Parker Auto say how often one should balance their tires? Just when they hear a vibe or everytime they get swapped in the Spring?

Get together sounds like a plan - maybe this or next month... On a "no rain" weekend for sure. Again, I only know of you, myself and one other guy on here in Ottawa so it'll be small - unless we want to post a broadcast note out and see if there are any more Ottawa G's...

Sounds good to me, only the long weekend I won't be in town any other is good. I don't know anyone else, I've seen a few on the road but it looks they are not here.

They didn't say but I don't think one have to re-balance every certain amount of time, for me it's like if it's smooth then it's good. I've had cars go through a set of tires and be perfectly smooth on the road. I personally don't touch that unless I feel it's unbalanced, that's how my problems started after all, I had a small vibration and did a re-balance, got worse and after that it's only been perfect for a couple of days after my first re-balance at Parker Auto (D**m I knew Carling was going to screw my car somehow!) but they are going to take a look at it again next week, nice!

Did the rebalancing work? Did you go back to Parker again? I just swapped into my summers seeing as though we're gonna have a hot week hitting 20C by Friday. Got my rim back from Alloy Wheel Specialists and they did an awesome job fixing the curb rash on my rim - would certainly recommend them. Maybe we'll get around to setting up that 1st Ottawa meet in a few weeks...

Yes rebalancing the rear tires worked, for some reason they were off again, they are perfect now, the guys at Parker were very nice and told me to go back if I had any problems, contrary to the other place I went before. It's all fixed now. I did too switched to summers last sunday, now I'll wait for better weather for a detailing, I have those rust spots again, not that many but they are there! The collinite held very well I still wash the car and the beads show strong.

Nice to see others in ottawa as well.. i'm the new owner of a 09 g37xs.. will be picking up from TO on my way back from an upcoming trip.

gtpaul is a pretty good detailer, i havent had him work on any of my cars yet but i've seen his work on autopia as i frequent that forum as well. work looks great.

another very good guy in ottawa is fari - FARI Professional Detailing --- [ Ottawa, Canada ] - he does a lot of higher end cars and is meticulous about his work. he also does rustproofing in the winter and instead of drilling wholes he takes apart the car to get inside.. $$$$$ as you can imagine.

Congrats on the purchase. Yes - the Ottawa group is pretty tiny and we bounced around the idea of having a meet sometime this spring/summer when the weather improves...

I managed to find a good detailer (not from Ottawa mind you). Wes_R is his user name on this site and he's from Toronto. He drove to my place in Ottawa and did my car about a week ago - he spent 12 hours on my G over 2 days - he is fantastic - would certainly recommend him to anyone and everyone. The improvement he made on my car is awesome - no more scratches, no more scuffs - just a ridiculous mirror like shine on my plat. graphite G.

A few samples of his meticulous work below.
