And I agree, I do like Ru5tY winter rims. Can you give brand and full spec (keep in mind I'm tire dummy so I would just quote that when ordering haha)
Thanks. Rims are 18x8 BSA #264

both offsets will work (i have the 40 offset, and someone else has the 24 offset)...or 20 something...

Washed the car and snapped some pics of my winter setup. Yeah.. looks VERY familiar right?

Picked up the rims from the G35driver site for a wicked price and slapped on brand new Blizzak LM-25's. Didn't realize that everyone else is going with different size tires front/rear and I went with Tirerack recommended 225/50/18's all around.

Total cost $1350CAD =P

Does anyone if that size will affect the spedometer?

P.S. My sensor light came on pretty much immediately after I installed the rims.

Loki, you park at Minto Place? I just saw a car just like yours coming out of Minto Place, Laurier exit, around 12:00 PM

Hahahaha - that was me Zap! I park in Minto Place and I decided I'd go to Rideau Centre for lunch... too lazy to walk 10 blocks...

I noticed a white G37 parked on the level I usually park on with license ending in "...805" and plate cover says 401 DIXIE... still running a summer set-up...

We are getting 10 cm of snow tonight and another 10 cm tomorrow...

Yeah that's mine. Just brought her from TO last saturday. Still haven't had the chance to test fit my RX-8 rims to see if they fit the brakes and get the winters. I noticed your rims, if they look good in pics they are way better in reality, very nice.
I can see we are getting snow this week, I have to hurry to get the winters.

Wow, small world... I parked on the same level as you btw - if you drive out of your spot (since you are backed in) and turn imediately to your left, go all the way down the line I am on the far wall at then end between two large concrete walls... when I park @ Minto I try to get a spot between those large concrete walls because I find the spots down there so damn tight and people are careless when they open their doors...

I am happy with the rims... thanks man. For the price, I couldn't go wrong. As for the Blizzaks, I find a difference (even though we haven't had snow yet) when I accelerate in the corners they hug the road nicely and they are not loud at all. I guess tonight I'll get to test em out in the white fluffy stuff....

I had to go to the MTO and took the car, saw yours parked on my way out and then in my way in again down the entrance ramp saw you coming out in my rearview mirror.
I always try to find those spots but couldn't find any available. The spots at Minto Place are pretty tight, you have to find one like where you were parked or besides a post and get really close to the post to give it some space between you and the next car.
I have Blizzaks WS-60 in my Mazda6 and they were great last winter, lots of grip and pretty quiet, good handling overall except that they are narrower than stock and the steering is more loose, but you just have to get used to it. I'm going for the LM-25 most probably.

Yes, finding a good spot is tough... especially if you arrive after 9am...all the good one's seem to be reserved for either the hotel patron's or Minto Development employees... there is a G37S similar colour to mine that is parked everyday in a reserved MDI spot on P3A around the downramp.

Post some pics of the winter rims when you get em on... good luck with the rim search...

I got what I think is a good deal on an 08 lease, $5500 under msrp, 1.9%. I called around and no one would give me even close to that. Mine is 6MT so there's no reason to wait for 09 which the finance is higher.
I'll PM you with more details. Not sure if it's against forum rules to post that info.

Zap, did you drive to work today in the snow with your summer set-up? Curious how that went after the 10cm dump we got last night and it's still snowing...

I found my tires today nice and grippy and my street still isn't plowed... I think it's due to the sheer weight of the vehicle - I'm certainly no scientist but I think weight supercedes all else in snow...

...got my first ticket in the G last night across the border in Gatineau, Que. --> 80km in a 50 zone = $159 and 2 points (Noticed the officer wrote G35 as model instead of G37 - wondering if that is grounds to quash the ticket...probably not)

Yes I did, I had a meeting early this morning and couldn't take the chance to be late so I took the car. So far no problem, streets were clear of snow ( packed with cars :-( ) so I pretty much slow all the time. I'm parked in a lot on Lisgar and the ramp is more than one story high and pretty steep, lots of snow there, some slipping here and there but she went up the ramp probably like any other car. I took it easy though, but I have to get those winters soon!
Man I'm sorry for your fine, take it easy you'll end up paying for it.

^^ Good to hear no issues with the tires... I'm not a fan of surface lots in the winter...but the weight of the G will get you up the hill...

As for the ticket, I'm sure Quebec police dislike english-speaking guys with Ontario plates... he was hiding in the most obscure location behind a fence and traintracks not far from the Canadian Tire and casino... I'm sure he took one look at my car and said "this guys gettin' no warning"...It was late and I wanted to get home before the snow and it wasn't residential but he still didn't want to give me a warning....stubborn bugger

Was that on De la Carriere? They are always around there, I used to work on that street after Blvd du Casino and they were there every day at the entrance of the parking lot where I used to work.
I'm going to change my username since I created this one long time ago for the sole purpose of browsing the forum I didn't know it was a safe forum, so I'll use JRP from now on.
