Same... I've been driving without tpms since Sunday, no warning yet. That's REALLY slow... I wonder if it'll actually work quick enough for it to be of any use if my regular wheels with tpms ever went down in pressure.

No tpms light yet? Wow - mine came on the day after I had the new snow tires/rims on. It looks like a little exclamation mark in between a horseshoe... it's not that bad to look at - I suppose I could put black electrical tape on it to avoid seeing it.

I'll take more pics of my set up from a distance. I like your 5-spoke design as well Rusty. It's funny to see snow in Toronto before Ottawa... doesn't Toronto call in the military when it snows...

^^^ lol @ army comment and yet so true...

And I agree, I do like Ru5tY winter rims. Can you give brand and full spec (keep in mind I'm tire dummy so I would just quote that when ordering haha)

My winter 18" rims were roughly $150 each and my winter tires (Blizzak LM-25V - 225/45/R18 front and 245/45/R18 rear) were roughly $300 each for the fronts and $325 each for the rears plus lug nuts and valve stems (inexpensive). I bought all of this stuff through the dealership in Ottawa and therefore got soaked so I'm sure if one were to buy these off the net he/she could probably save $$$. I just got lazy and didn't want to have to deal with all the BS involved in ordering online and shipping etc... They are called (according to the center ring) "Phat Cat Racing" rims and they have the word "Engineer" stamped into one of the spokes.

Here is another pic of the rims.

Here is a pic of what to expect the TPMS light to look like on the dash (exclamation mark inside a horshoe).

Put my winters on last week thursday, just in time. Took 15 minutes before my TPMS light came on.

You would have saved a little online: I bought the LM-25V's (19") through tirerack.com for $225 USD each (mind you, this was just before our dollar bombed); shipping and duty was cheap. They shipped them right to my dealer. My salesguy picked up my car from my house, changed the rubber and brought the car back for me! I have them on the stock rims (plan to buy new rims/rubber for the summer).

I know it's too late now but, if you are in Ottawa you can check next time ottawatiresdirect.com, they have the 18" Blizzaks for $222. That's where I got my previous ones and must probably get the ones for the G since I haven't found a better deal in town.

You bought at a good time - just checked out the site and saw that today the Blizzaks for 18's are selling for $233 and the 19's are $270.

So you swapped the 19 inch stock summer rubber and put your winter rubber on? What new rim set-upu are you planning on getting for the car for summer?

I have been looking for a new summer set-up as I find certain rims can really add "pozazz" to one's vehicle... I'm big on the ultra-deep lip styles ...examples...

Why are they so damn expensive???!?!

I haven't bought winters yet, I was checking the site yesterday when I saw the price. I'm taking delivery tomorrow I was waiting to have the car to go tire shopping. I got winters for my mazda last year from them though. I'm planning 18" for winter and stock 19" for summer. Don't know what winter rims yet, I have a set of RX-8 18" rims that I want to try fit when I get the car.

PD: I just check the site and they still are $222.77 (225/50/18")

Got my Dunlop M3s from Buffalo for around $213 before installation, taxes and exchange for 19" to go onto my OE rims. Couldn't find anyone cheaper in Toronto. They grip and brake nice. I am glad that I have them in time for this week's snow fall.
