my winters - 18" BSA 264's & blizzak's
#62
I am using factory rims to mount my winter tires. I am not sure about the fiitments using 18" rims. This eliminates alot of the guessing. I already have another OE set of rims for summer.
for 19" winter tires and given the current state of the CDN dollar, that's only slightly more expensive than tirerack...not bad...
however, for another $200 more, why don't you get a set of 18" rims and 18" tires as a dedicated winter set-up?
or are you using the OEM 19"s for winter, and upgrading to 20"s for summer?

I got 18" BSA 264's as well.....love the look for the winter rims.....the Infiniti dealer recommended Toyo Garit KX - 235/45/18 all around......I called 2 other tire places I have dealt with and they recommended the same. I use Toyo Garit KX 225/55/17 on my wife's G35x so I am familiar with the tire. Snow should be here any time now so I'll be testing to see how it is.

I think you are right....I only had my 19's on for a short time before I put these on so the wheel gap isn't as noticable to me. It also looks similar to the wife's G35x so I didn't really think anything of it.....we usually have a lot of snow by now and I didn't want to take any chances as I have only had the G37s for a couple of weeks. Now I can't wait to get the 19's back on!

Missed the last part of the post.....offset is 40. However stupid this may sound, I haven't got a clue what the difference would have been.

Unfortunately though, Ottawa got a dump of snow yesterday (5-10 cm's) so I had to take it easy on the turns... will post pics when they are on...
