I am using factory rims to mount my winter tires. I am not sure about the fiitments using 18" rims. This eliminates alot of the guessing. I already have another OE set of rims for summer.

however, for another $200 more, why don't you get a set of 18" rims and 18" tires as a dedicated winter set-up?

or are you using the OEM 19"s for winter, and upgrading to 20"s for summer?

I got 18" BSA 264's as well.....love the look for the winter rims.....the Infiniti dealer recommended Toyo Garit KX - 235/45/18 all around......I called 2 other tire places I have dealt with and they recommended the same. I use Toyo Garit KX 225/55/17 on my wife's G35x so I am familiar with the tire. Snow should be here any time now so I'll be testing to see how it is.

sweet...i think they look nicer on a black car....on white, an 18" rim looks way too small and makes the wheelgap more obvious.

which offset did you get? 24 or 40?

I think you are right....I only had my 19's on for a short time before I put these on so the wheel gap isn't as noticable to me. It also looks similar to the wife's G35x so I didn't really think anything of it.....we usually have a lot of snow by now and I didn't want to take any chances as I have only had the G37s for a couple of weeks. Now I can't wait to get the 19's back on!

Missed the last part of the post.....offset is 40. However stupid this may sound, I haven't got a clue what the difference would have been.

If the 40s are sitting flush, I guess the 24s would mean it'll stick out by 16mm? Or are you asking about something else...

That would make sense, they are flush.

i have 40's also...but mine aren't flush like OEM??...they looked in a little bit...

24 would've stuck out a little bit...

nevertheless, both offsets clear the calipers, so both work!

My winters have been ordered/balanced and are sitting at the dealership and ready to be mounted in a week and a half (have to wait my turn). I got 18 inch ASA rims with Blizzak LM-25's (225's on the front and 245's on the rear).

Unfortunately though, Ottawa got a dump of snow yesterday (5-10 cm's) so I had to take it easy on the turns... will post pics when they are on...

Pics of you drifting through snow? SWEEEET!

Did the dealer tell you to do staggered setup for the winters? Oh dear...
