2009 G37x Coupe Canadian release date
Hey gang!
Now I've read the same threads as everyone else, saying the 09 G Coupes could be released as late as December or even January 09!! So I called up my dealer about 2 minutes ago to get the real deal (no BS), and he (a pretty good guy by the way) told me that Infiniti Canada has set the approximate release date for early November at the latest! A bunch of dealers are putting pressure on the company to release them earlier for those of us who have reserved our cars and have been waiting for the X Coupe model for months now... The 09s are pretty much all in our citys right now he told me! They're just not available or visible yet because they want to sell as many leftover 08s as possible right now. There's a possibility we might get them late October, but for sure no later than early November. Up here in friggin' winter wonderland, everyone wants to wait for the All-Wheel Drive Coupe (obviously), and Infiniti seem to not be agressive enough in lowering the prices of the 08 Coupes witch explains the delay with the 09s. In any Case, sit tight, and we should finally see them on the road in about four weeks tops!
Hope this can ease some minds.

P.S.: Good news in Canada is, they lowered the price of the 09 G37x by about 3000$ as compared to the 08 G37S!! You'll be surprised!

I don't want to get anyone in trouble so I'll just say it's in the Montreal region for now... just look south... lol! Kinda gives it away doesn't it. He told me straight up the cars he ordered last June, July or August are in Montreal right now (probably in some warehouse). They're just waiting for the O.K. from Infiniti Canada to let them out.

I read an article that the Cdn G37 will be priced $3 K less than last yr. Also, Infiniti Canada has been very aggressive with the 08 G37 rebate (apparently it's $6 K now), plus some people are getting an additional $4 K off ($10 K off MSRP total). Infiniti Canada has done more than most brands to reduce or eliminate the big price gap with the US (I myself imported back when savings were big).

I think I'm supposed to be the first in the Quebec province to get the 09 G37x Coupe... as for being the first in Canada or North America... chances are pretty slim for that. I don't really know if we'll get it before the U.S., all I know is right now Infiniti Canada is getting huge pressure from their dealers to release them ASAP. My guy told me Infiniti Canada projected 80% of 09 G37s sold here will be All-Wheel drive models, so the sooner they release it, the more they'll be able to sell before the snow comes. 80% is a big number, but makes sense with our weather being what it is. If it were up to me, I'd have mine in my driveway YESTERDAY!

^^ AWD is popular over here, we always get snowfall in large amounts at a time. Remember the snow storm in march?? they should release it to Canadians first because winter is coming soon.
be the first to post pics of your G in your driveway, i did with the 08. I got the G on Aug.22.07 but i could have gotten it a week before because of insurance papers and they took soo long to pick up the car at the lot.

That's exactly what my dealer told me yesterday. There's a 4K reduction on new 08s, AND they give you an extra 6K off if you pay the whole thing cash up front!! They really want to clear out those rear-wheel drive 08s before the All-Wheel drive 09s come out. Good news I guess is that, the longer they get stuck with their 08s, the cheaper they'll be next spring probably... You just don't want to drive a rear wheel drive coupe with that much power in a foot of snow or on frozen roads... At least I don't.

I have a friend who is a sales manager for Infiniti. I just took delivery of mine a few days ago as a lease. I got almost 7k off the car on a lease and he was waiting till October casue he heard there were more incentives coming but couldn't say for sure. Wouldn't affect me though as they would just change the residuals, however he is EXPECTING another 2k for cash purchases to start Oct 15th!
Also, HE had his own personal 09 demo there right in front of me.
