Three G37's driving north on 400 this morning

Driving to work this morning in my Blue Onyx G37 Coupe, next thing I notice, there's a silver G37s coupe in front of me and another G37s coupe next to me. All three of us travelling as a pack north on the 400. A sight to be seen!

Maybe I should come up in my dad's F150 instead, bring my ATV with me, show you guys what FAST really is! lol. 0-100 km/h in under 5 seconds... yup sounds fast to me!

CarAddict, yes as a matter of fact there are 2 closeby! lol. And the drive length all depends on the car, driver and traffic.... I think our family's record is my dad back in 03 or 04, I think 2 hours and 15 mins, I'm pretty sure traffic was light and we were in the 5.9L Durango R/T.... according to google maps expected time is 3 hours!

If you guys are actually ever interesting in doing the drive... look up "Harcourt, Ontario" on google maps. You will see a Highway called Highway 10 going northbound... well just follow that on google maps all the way until you reach a place called Maynooth. May not look too interesting on google maps, but the elevation changes are quite dramatic! If you are up there in the fall, it is really, really beautiful! Once you see the town of Maynooth on the map, you will see Highway 127 coming out of the town, that highway basically goes right through Algonquin park, again very scenic, I haven't been on it in a while (since I was a kid!) but I think the speed limit is also 80km/h, you see lots of wildlife and there are a few places to open it up. You can go through the park until you hit Parry sound or Huntsville, both are fairly large Muskoka towns. Personally I think a nice weekend trip would be to leave Saturday morning, drive the route I described till you get to Huntsville, stay in one of the resorts for a night, then head back home on the 400 around noon, you would be back before 4 PM I think.

/end novel/Frommers tour guide of the areas near my cottage. haha.
Thanks for the detailed write up Canadian144! Great trip plan indeed! I like the ATV idea very much, as long as that thing got 9 or more airbags! haha

Haha NP, and 9 or more airbags? LOL you wish, you hit a bump in the road wrong at over 100 km/h and you're done, hence why I only got up to 110km/h once (I actually pulled out of the side of the road and took off after a group of sport bikers lol). It scares me in ways that driving an STI or G37 never can!

But it is a great drive. I'd wait until the summer though personally, the spring is usually pretty wet, the summer is really scenic, and the fall is just beautiful up there... really really beautiful.

I have been reading all the post about the meets in Toronto. and then how no one shows up! . I say this time everyone show up! I used to own a R32 GTR and we used to have meets every week!

As far as great driving roads are concerned, There are amazing roads up here in Milton, ON, Milton is right next to Mississauga, so it wont be to far either!

I am definitely up for a meet, and i totally agree with Canadian144, i have been up east on the 401 and Peterbrough area they have some great driving roads!

Come on Guys we all own a great car, which is fun to drive and an engine that sounds like a wounded animal, let's not keep it tamed in the streets of TO :P, Lets have a meet!

+1 lol, the G guys don't seem to want to meet as much as the Subaru guys (I have an STI, my mom has the G in the family aha).

I would be down for a meetup/cruise in Milton sometime in July/August. My family has a farm near 401/Winston Churchill, so I know some of the rural roads back there pretty well. We could meet up at a Timmie's or something, and cruise around for an hour or so. I have a buddy near my farm who has a 240SX, if he has it running by the Summer then I'll see if he wants to come with haha.

BTW why did you get rid of the GTR?

Canadian144.. Lets meet up/ cruise in July /august, i am down for it man. We have some lovely driving roads up on the Halton Hills. I have seen about 5 G37S here in Milton alone, I will try and see if i can get in contact with those ppl as well.

The GTR, well, Godzilla was defeated by an old granny who did not stop at a red light and crashed in to it!

RIP Godzilla !

Yeah that would be sick man! I can't say for sure yet if I can come (usually go on vacation during the summer, but not sure when/where yet) but I'll try my best! LOL.

I think if we met for lunch or something and then cruised we would get a few people coming out. I'm sure we could get some guys on this forum to come out! I think there are a few GTR guys on NAGTROC in Toronto as well... maybe they could join us since the one you know is trashed! lol.

The A&W in Georgetown comes to mind as a possible spot... enough parking to meet up there, and close enough to some back country roads! lol.

What major intersection are you close to?

Yeah, Derry and James Snow parkway is close to my farm man!

As you may have read from some of my other posts, I don't actually own the G37x (it's my moms), but she said that she could lend me the car if I wanted and I was like YES. haha. I always love driving it. Ex Today I went to the autoshow with my dad, we were coming back and this other young guy in a 335i pulls up, man this thing sounded MEAN. He told me at a later light that it was dyno-tuned, had a turbo-back exhaust, and a few other things. We both "took off quickly" from the light, he was much quicker obviously, I only went up to 10 km/h over the limit (not a big fan of street racing personally), but this thing was mean.

Anyways, when my family goes to Guelph (sometimes we do it as a trip in the summer for the day or something) we take these awesome back roads, lots of hills and turns, if I can get the name then it would be an awesome cruise to Guelph/back (would only be about an hour though sadly). I'm sure you have some other routes as well that you like driving that we could hit up. Though if we went all the way to Guelph after lunch, we'd have to stop for a quick photoshoot lol.

So far, we've got:

-Canadian144
-NightHawk2009
-Greek_Infiniti9
-BigbodyG (if he ends up getting a G!)
-CarAddict (he seemed interested above anyways, lol).

I'm sure if this thread gets seen a big more we can get some more people to come. Maybe post it in the "meet" section later, also maybe on the NAGTROC or Toronto Nissan club forums.

Man I'm getting excited!
