I'm thinking of buying a set of 18" rims + blizzaks from Tirerack.com, and it'll be around $1100-1200 shipped to my NYC address. From another post on another forum by a Tirerack rep, looks like Tirerack.com guarantees 100% that it will clear the brakes.

Rusty
I didn't really worry about all the specs, I just bought my set off tirerack because it was cheaper than anything I could find in Toronto (availability was also an issue; when I checked end of Dec07 everybody said they're sold out for the season...!).

I don't know how you're gonna bring those huge wheels across the border though... there's noway you can fit them in your G!!!

What rims / tires did you get, and how much was the package?

What were the brokerage fees like?

According to this thread on RFD (http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/s...light=tirerack), all the brokerage fees are now up front, and no more surprises through UPS?

Damn, shipping them to Canada is pricey!

I guess I'll look into shipping them to CBI in Buffalo, or my friend's postal box in Buffalo.

I got the Blizzak LM-25 with Sport Edition F10 (cheapest rim in stock at the time). I think it came out to about $1,800. No surprises if you buy from tirerack!

Shipping is expensive, but it was still cheaper than any other option I could find locally so I just bit the bullet and didn't think about it afterwards.

And you should probably buy the winters and install them on your car BEFORE driving up here... otherwise you won't survive, and I don't think you should bet on having nice weather on the day you're driving it home. But seeing how they're all out of stock for the blizzaks...

Edit: bah, I misread your "copy-paste" info for the tires...

Rusty,

That's some pretty mean savings - damn, I thought I was getting a good deal through VPP. I guess this is one of the instances with living in a free market economy - Infiniti can charge whatever they want to whatever the market will bear. I'm not sure if consumers are getting saavier or stupider or blasé/impervious/ phlegmatic/supercilious/unconcerned (can't find the right word) when it comes to purchasing.

Good to hear you got a good deal - I guess the only thing you left off the list was the cost of hotel/eating in restaurants when staying in Buffalo (if applicable) and something more important than both - "your" time during this whole process.
Did I hear someone say 25 cm's in Toronto over the weekend?? Ottawa got 52 cm over the weekend and we have 410 cm this season - going to break the record of all time snow fall of 444 cm set in 1971. It's hard to get stimulated about the G37 with all that damn snow!!!

You are right 1.7 feet on the weekend and 13.4 feet total for this winter. This is life in the nation's capital...

Search is your friend. Lots of people have posted (including me) their deals on tires along with specs.

I wanted to thank everyone who responded to the thread, to my PM's, and to my e-mails. i.e. vince, hp_john, psyh, loki123 (I see some of you are on RFD as well, I'm on there but with a different username)
Congrats Ru5ty, glad I could help. I remember thinking importing would be too complicated but thanks to folks like rrrevin who said what they did, it convinced me it wouldn't be too hard.

I agree, I leased my G37 from Chris B. and I can't wait for it to come a month from now. Infiniti 417 are not reputable to deal with, as my experiences with them have been poor. I went with the Multiple Security Deposit lease which saves a ton of money on the lease, it amounts to over 13% savings...I can't that anywhere at any bank or mutual funds or any of my stocks!

My lease rate at the time was 4.9 and now for my pickup date it will be 3.9 with the same residual so another bonus on what has to be one of the best leasing deals out there. A lot better than a 335i. They will not budge much on the BMWs, you are lucky to get 1000.00!

Um... kinda, but not really... the Mazda 3 has more of a Y-shaped spokes pattern whereas the F10s have more of a V-shaped spokes pattern. Just look on tirerack!

I know a lot of you are buying to eg tthis discount so I can't give MSRP to what I paid casue I was simply looking for the payment. I'm at $725 for the 37 sport with tech package in white. From what I can gather though going from crucnhing MSRP numbers IF IF IF my math is right thats about a $7000 discount. Thats with ZERO down, no admit, processing fees, or anything else. Just 1st payment. Now the Winter tire/rim hunt begins. I've PMed a few of you for help already. Thanks!

Good deal?

I just brought my new G37 sport home today. $10,000 off MSRP.
$6,000 rebate and $4,000 dealer discount. I could not resist
this deal. Dealer had tons of 08's on the lot. If your thinking of
buying a g37 now is the time.

What dealership was this at? I assume this was a loaded sport? Sounds like a good deal to me. I take delivery firt week of october so I'm hoping for more manufacturer incentives before delivery. I leased, and I saw all the invoice pricing for the car as well as the options. I got mine about $900 over invoice, and that factored in all the fees, and freight, PDI etc. Don't have any of the paperwork with me so not sure how much off MSRP that is.

I got my g37 401 and Dixie Infiniti, Mississauga.
It's just a sport with no options. $49,950 - $10,000.
Ask for Christine.
