Apparently, they didn't mention too much about G37. AWD G37 MAY be available for 2009, and they didn't mention anything whethere itz goin to be available in Manual or not. One of our guy saying that it was just out of TOPIC.

The meeting was for mainly EX35, and they had a chance to test drive them on the track in Calgary. According to the meeting, EX would be here in Canada by December (don't know exact date).

All they did was pretty mcuh go over EX35, and compare them to competitors like BMW, LEXUS, ACURA and etc.

If there were some more, I will be back here again shortly.

G'day~!!!

I'm interested in getting more info about this. Is this the same Diamond Graphite seen on the 2003-2007 G35s (paint code WV2) or is this name being re-used as one of the new 2008 G37 graphites known in the U.S. as Amethyst Graphite (paint code K57) or Platiunum Graphite (paint code K51)? Anyone know?

Diamond Graphite and Silverstone are two different colors. DG(K51) wasn't available on G coupes in Canada, I think you are probably cofused with Silverstone that was available on it from 03 ~ 07.

It sure looks like the same, but paint code is different. When you look those in bright sun light, you might be able to tell the differece.

Paint code K57 is named Liquid metal grey and K51 is named Diamond graphite in Canada. Finally, WV2(Silverstone) is no longer available on G coupes.

Hope it helped~

Jinolee - Have your manager heard anything about price adjustment due to our high dollar? My local dealership said there might be one for the 08 G35 Sedan but no word on the G37 coupe.

I haven't heard anything in regards to that matter...but I heard that Infiniti Canada MIGHT not warranty U.S.A cars in near future...

You are correct under certain circumstances, please refer to this post with official documentation from Infiniti/Nissan. Basically the initial requirement is that all US bought cars MUST be registered in the US first, you buy a car there and import to Canada then register it for the first time and your warranty is void. Now it appears that if you register it first in the US then bring it up to Canada and register it here you are fine as well, provided no change of ownership has taken place. Another alternative is to buy it from someone in the states after a 6 month period and bring it up to Canada to register. They SAY that it's because the cars are different in the US and Canada, but if that was the case they would not allow US cars in Canada at all. If you can sift through the BS, the real reason is because they don't want people importing from the states and selling it to make a load of dough because of the price differences. They also don't want non-residents getting the initial price of the car, after 6 months the depreciation hit should make it less benefitial to by a US car vs. Canadian.

I think that you (and the poster in the thread you linked) are confusing Nissan and Infiniti. It has been known for some time that Nissan has the restrictions that are in that PDF file, but Infiniti has different rules. As far as I know, Infiniti still honours warranty for US cars imported to Canada. Do a 'find' on that PDF and you see that the word 'Infiniti' does not occur even once. That is a Nissan document, not an Infiniti one.

Oh yea, that's right, you bought it from the US (the wise choice ). Please give details on the importing procedure. I know I know, there is plenty of thread on this in the other subforums. But I was curious if there is such a thing as letting the US dealership (or a broker) take care of all the paperwork, let them ship and you just have to pick it up in the end. I'm lazy, what can you do

Jinolee - any news on the G37x or an Infiniti price adjustment. After Porsche minimal adjustment, Chrysler finally decided to follow suit. It's just a matter of time . I think that as soon as Toyota or Honda make their moves, Nissan won't have a choice.

EDIT. Chrysler is offering major incentive, not a price adjustment, my bad. Still, that could be an easier way for major car manufacturers to satisfy future customers while not pissing off to many past customers.
