Infinit's are pretty reliable. However a warranty can be good value if you will own it for the duration of the warranty.

I'm in the market for a CPO. I know you can get a 3 year or 4 year CPO wrap coverage. I read you can only get that through the dealer at the time of car purchase. That being the case i'm sure the dealer will ask for the usual huge markup and not want to negociate much

My question is. Can the infiniti extended warranty (Not CPO wrap) be purchased anytime while under the limited CPO warranty?

I'm thinking of skipping the wrap and buying the extended warranty before my 2yr limited CPO warranty expires.

Thanks,

Not a good idea to get a CPO if the car is more than 1 year old. This was explained to me by Courtney M. from Arizona Infiniti.

Let us say you are buying a 2012 G37 with 25K mile. You buy a CPO for $900 which is only covers the powertrain. If you ask for the CPO Wrap , God knows how much they will sell it to you, you are basically loosing years of coverage like 3 years if buying the 8 years extended warranty. So the best way to do it is do not buy the CPO.

Buy the car and go to Infiniti dealership and pay $120 to inspect the car. fax the report to Courtney in Arizona or the one from NJ . They both can give you the same Infiniti Elite Extended warranty without loosing to much years in the coverage.

Here is my email to Courtney.

The car does NOT have to be CPO, so you definitely do not have to pay the $899 for CPO...if you do not buy the car from an Infiniti dealer than you have to take it to an Infiniti dealer and pay the $120 to inspect the car for neglect of maintenance and pre-existing issues...the inspection is attached...CPO and Wrap back date to in-service date so you are losing over three years of the coverage, so you are really only adding 3 or 4 yrs if you went with 84mo or 96mo Wrap, plus you would be paying for the CPO $899 and the Wrap, so its usually more expensive and less coverage...I only advise for CPO&Wrap if the car is only one year old otherwise its best just to save the $899 CPO and go with the Elite Protection Plan on its own...

Based off your current mileage these are your options for extending your factory coverage...

2012 G37x w/ 25,000 miles (price and term will change once you exceed 30k).

$100 Ded
36mo/36k=$550
36mo/48k=$660
48mo/48k=$810
48mo/60k=$1010
60mo/60k=$1250
60mo/70k=$1390
72mo/82k=$1460

YES this is the factory warranty and NOT 3rd party!! The Infiniti Elite Protection Plan will start the day you purchase it and the mileage allowance will be added to what is currently on your odometer. The deductible is per visit not per item repaired. The car must be under the original warranty and Infiniti requires a "Pre-Purchase" FULL inspection at an Infiniti dealer prior to issuing the policy (not a basic Multi-Point inspection). Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the Infiniti Elite Protection Plan. Thanks again and have a great day.

Courtney,

Could you give me a quote for 2012 G37x sedan with 25k miles on it with 0 deductible?
84/100k and 96/120K. This is a used G37x and I am thinking if I buy this i will buy the warranty from you. The dealer is telling me that if they certified the car , it is an extra $900. Which only covers powertrain for 60/100k miles. Is this true? I told them I want a CPO Wrap like the elite.
If I buy the car non CPO, do I still have to have them inspect it and pay $120? According to Carfax, car was checked already prior to delivery to them.

Thanks!

Well I got lucky see I emailed her about at 29,500 and she was off and I drive a lot, anyways by the time I got in contact with her I got a quote for 950.00 but then I went over the 30k. Once you hit 30k it goes up like 400 more dollars. Since I contacted her prior to that and also I got a hook up at the dealer she works witch I'm local they wrote my car off at 29,990 and got a free basic inspection. I ended up getting 0 deductible 48k miles for 950.00

Thanks, She quoted me for the 33,110 at $0 deductible:
36mo/48k=$1480
48mo/48k=$1740

So yea about $400 more than your quote. MAkes sense. Thanks.
