OR go with the Acura.. ha ha..

I walked away from the infiniti lease that was less than 200/mo. Just means they will get you on the back end of it.

I like both cars, maybe the acura a bit more, but they are probably a little more honest about their product and don't have the initiative to blow out vehicles for new models at the moment.

The TL is an ugly and inferior car. My friend has one that is less than 2 years old and he ran into a few maintenance issues already. Just has a failed wheel bearing too. He says he regrets not considering the G37. Can't say the same about the TL. That's what the SH stands for: SH*T

open end(Infiniti) lease vs closed end (acura has this)

What factors determine the purchase price at the end of a lease?

Most leases rely exclusively on the residual value in determining the end of term purchase price. These closed-end deals require you to pay the fixed residual amount regardless of the actual market price. Open-end leases work differently in that the actual market value helps determine the purchase price. As a customer you are responsible for any difference between the residual and actual value when buying outright.

It would seem like I'm trolling, but I've been a long time nissan infiniti fan and own two nissans currently. Just doing the research to lease or buy between competing vehicles it comes down to this.

Think about it. The market will be flooded with G37 leases since they are offering such aggressive leases. What happens at lease end? You get porked due to Supply and Demand. A flood of the same vehicle in the market reduces the demand in addition to a new body/car. The fact it is an Open-End lease you then have to pay the difference in the market(which will be below residual) you pay difference.

vs.

Acura's program closed end. Not as aggressive nor attractive on the surface, but will not suffer the above issues. You turn the car in at lease end due to being closed end and the residual is not as high, you likely have a bit of Equity to lease another new vehicle or buy current one.

In essence pay a little less now to pay more later or pay more now to save later..

Infiniti's lease is NOT open ended. All consumer auto leases are closed ended now.

The Infiniti has a set residual value just like the Acura (Acura's residual is of course much lower) but as far as the terms of the lease they are identical.

Just leased a new G37x sedan today for 379$ a month with 636$ out of pocket which included 1st month and motor vehicle fees. 24 mo lease 12k miles. The bank fee was waived. I checked with about 3 other dealers in the NY/NJ area who quoted me a little lower on the monthly but over 1600$ down. I never lease and put any $$ down just doesn't make sense to me. The only thing I don't like about my lease is the termination fee of $400 if I do not get another Infiniti. This is my first one and drove it to work this morning from the dealer and love it!!
Also got some other nice perks from Circle Infiniti in Long branch. They were a pleasure to deal with and my sales rep DJ was AWESOME!! The entire transaction was structured online and over the phone. It deff pays to shop around and do your homework a little before.

Well, Here is the my tester/possible lease?

2013x Sport. Yep the tranny is every bit as advertised. Extremely harsh and slow in manual mode w/paddles.

I mean, I love the looks and power, but the transmission pretty much sucks. I almost over revved it at one point because the downshift transition was so slow to pass, when it did the rpms tached out because I was on the gas to move around another car.

I dunno, no bueno... I want to love it because I can get a great deal and it looks great few suspension mods and it would be just right except the tranny.

Agree with above, seems like there's a lot of misinformation coming from some people on this thread.

Does anyone know what this months residuals are? on 12k 2year and 15k 2year leases? I think they are down from last month.

The crazy deals of last month seem to be fading a bit.

So I just turned in my coupe 3 months early to get the G37 sedan journey it came with premium, nav, and sport
MSRP:45500
Due at signing:2400
10,000 miles a year for 24 months
327 a month with tax and title.

Did I get a good deal because recently I contacted another dealership in the area and they were offering the same exact car for 265 with out tax and 2400 due at signing same term
