I got them down to 36K out the door, but ultimately I was not going to do it unless they got down to no more than 33K. 3K difference is a lot and not worth it to me.

So in conclusion...thanks to those who contributed something useful.

Although now I realize that many Infiniti drivers are as arrogant and pompous as BMW drivers. Bummer. Not much of a 'brotherhood'. I'll get over it.
Glad I could help...although, sounds like it would not have mattered as you still wanted to hear it from the dealer.

Apparently, some others on here just want to point out that they think your logic is stupid. I could not care less. However, in the world of relativity...it could be a lot worse than a few thousand.

Point is, you leased and found out leasing isnt for you. However, getting out of a lease is not as hard as everyone makes it out to be. You have a payoff just like if you had a typical lien on the car through a bank/credit union.

Even if you bought new, you would still be upside down by probably about the same ballpark amount.

Enjoy the nice car you are driving for another year or two, then you can probably dump it before lease end for a minimal amount.

Now that I have...I've decided it's not for me. It's that simple. Do I regret leasing? Yes. The reason I was looking at the sedan is because I thought I would have an easier time haggling my way out of my lease early by going to the same dealership I leased from and buying a car from THEIR lot. It's a bit harder to get out of an Infiniti lease if I'm shopping for an entirely different car from an entirely different dealership. At least now I know I prefer sport sedans/hatchbacks. I will drive my car until the lease is up and BUY what I want when the time comes.

You can try to justify your comments and your special way of subtle insults by blaming me for my decisions you don't understand...but the reality is you're just a jerk hiding behind a keyboard on the internet.
Seems like you were the one being defensive.
