Coupe or Sedan with a 15 month old.
I really can't decide if I want the coupe or sedan, I really want the Coupe but the other side of me says be practical and get the Sedan. The car would just be primarily to pick up my son from day care and then just drive him home which is 5 minutes away. My other car is a Ford Edge.
Given my situation what would you go for?

Family comes first my friend and i know you want the coupe but if you looking to put your child in the back seat , it's going to be real tight.
There is a bunch of upsides to getting a sedan tho, faster lighter and if you looking to lease a new g37 , the deals on them are really insane right now.
Good luck with your choice

I have a five year old and shes fine in the backseat of my coupe, kids arent a problem in the back seat of the coupe. its adults who complain about leg room

I have a 9 month old and it is very easy to put him in the backseat. Plus it's more practical everyday and in my opinion the sedan looks better than the coupe. Remember though neither one will win the toniest backseat award but one is a lot easier to live with, with a young child.

How tall are you? I have a friend with a coupe, he's about 5.7", i'm in that range and i am not comfortable in the back. It's certainly not easy getting back there either.
Now for a 15 m.o. imagine your kid asleep in the carrier and you having to duck down and lift both kid and carrier into its base. This is easier done in a sedan.
I have a sedan, had one since my two kiddos were babies. Never had issues even with back-facing seats. If anything, it's now that my eldest is getting older that he is running into leg space issues since he's also still on a latch-based booster seat.
Also, for a sedan, not that you likely would, but you can fit a front bumper in there.

Car Seat
If you have a 15 month old you should be ok with either. I ran into this same question to myself when purchasing my G. I also already had a two four doors. So I did some research on the child seat and the safety of the child in both the coupe and sedan. I found that the coupe was a little safer. So I got the coupe and got this Recaro seat for the best possible safety.

Before you know it the kid will be in a booster seat and have a playmate sitting next to him... Get the sedan. Do you really want to be reaching over the front seats all the time?
