IPL with Stillen SC

I sold my G and got a pretty good price for it, so now I have been searching for a new car. I have my daily car (2005 Saab 9-5 Aero) but I can't handle not having a really nice car. I have been looking at tons of cars but I still love Infiniti. So before I go in and ask I am asking y'all.

I would like to lease an IPL BUT I want them to install a Stillen SC before I drive away with it. I have read that they will cover it under warranty and I shouldn't have any problems and if I do I can just bring to dealership?

What are your thoughts on doing this and any other cautions or problems you see with this idea? Like would they incorporate the installation of the SC with the lease payments, etc.

Thanks!!!

Why did you sell the G to begin with?

Wanted a new car. I had it since it was brand new plus I felt as though it was the best time to sell. I think the price of the 2008 G's are going to decrease even more with the release of the new generation this spring. Plus the car was going on 5 years old.

Main question is about the lease IPL with SC.

I'm pretty sure they'd want to sell a SC car vs lease. Too much liability when they take it back it's pretty much useless.
You should just call the dealership and ask.
Beaverton Infiniti has a SC G37 and it's selling for close to 60k.. I'm sure SC'ing the IPL will take it to mid 60's I'm guessing a lease payment of high 600's low 700's, IMO you can lease something better for that money.

That honestly sounds like a horrible idea. The Stillen kit has proven to be unreliable time and time over again. If you re willing to drop that much cash on a car then buy/lease an M3 or tough it out and wait for the next Gen G. In 6 months or less they should release solid information on whether or not the new v6 will also get a turbo.

Just checked with Infiniti and they are able to do it. I have heard good and bad with stillen, I have heard good and bad with GTM. Pretty much have heard good and bad with every aftermarket FI. Infiniti will warranty the Stillen SC, why is that? For the new Gen the sedan comes out in spring and then the G coupe will come out about a year and a half later. At the same time the G coupe will not really have any mods available, it usually takes a while for them to start being researched, made, and released. So in the meantime I wouldnt mind having a SC IPL. With BMW they are also changing up their engine so I have read and heard, so going that route is an option but i really am looking for FI. The numbers on an M3 and and IPL are night and day. I have the offer from BMW and Infiniti in regards to purchase and lease. Even with an addition(installed) of a SC they are still about 10-12+ a part. Night and day.

Stillen and nissan have a agreement in place. As long as the dealer installs the s/c kit the car can and will retain factory warranty, if another party installs its well your on your own!

I say do it! I am a bit surprised the dealership will go for it but since they will on a lease I say jump in with both feet.

I suppose you know this because you've been hanging out with Ms. Cleo, right.

Or you have proof...what am I thinking...of course you have proof.........

Cause if someone makes claims like that and doesn't have proof, well...that would just be madness.

only turbo that the new g will have anywhere close to release for the new production is a small turbo to replace the G25. Not a g37 turbo powerhouse. No diesel for North America, wrong country my friend. But it will have a hybrid at launch
