Leasing a 2012 G37XS Coupe

Just got quoted for a 2012 G37XS Coupe. I am planning on finalizing Thursday. Trying to get lower monthly payments though. Here are the details from them.

Invoice MSRP

Base $37,882 $40,990
Illuminated Kick Plates $277 $335
Trunk Mat, cargo net $142 $200
Navigation $1607 $1850
Premium Package $2692 $3100
Sport Package $1693 $1950
Rear Deck Spoiler $743 $835
Destination & Handling $895 $895

Total $45,391 $50,065

39 months
12K mi/yr
Money Factor - 0.00027
Residual - $28,537.05
Base Monthly Payment - $469.35
Monthly Tax - $42.24
Monthly Payment - $511.59

Am I missing something here? I put it into the Ride with G calc (http://www.ridewithg.com/calculator/index.html) and it comes up with a lot lower payments. I am doing the VPP program as well and that is supposedly factored in already. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thanks!

I think I figured out what I did. I calculated the residual using the sale price. If using it compared to the MSRP it comes out to 57%. This makes it much closer to 511 per month.

Anyway, is this still a little high on the sales price? I think the plan D VPP program is something like 5800 off MSRP but they gave me a price of 4700 off MSRP.

Anyone with some inside knowledge of this stuff or past experience would be very helpful.

Always ask for the exact sales price when doing a lease. Also ask what is being baked into the lease and what is expected to be down.

It's hard for me to totally calculate this without that. Many people add the acquisition fee ($700) into the lease and perhaps other stuff like doc fees or even first month payment for a true zero down.

I come up with a slightly lower payment if you received $4700 off MSRP.

Based on my recent purchase and shopping, $4700 off is in the ballpark for decent deals right now.

If you have the sales price and other additional fees in the lease I can give you exact numbers.

I had a VPP deal last time around and it did wonders with my 2010 G37xS

Is there any chance you can help me with getting it again?

Thanks!

I leased pretty much the same exact car with the same terms and mileage, but I'm paying $450 per month, and put no money down (cap reduction). Only thing I paid for initially was the upfront fees, ie DMV, first month payment, etc.

Thanks for your reply.

Was there any specials going on that month?

And did you use a VPP code at all?

Why were your monthly payments so low? What was your sale price?
