Extended Warranty Info

I bought a 2009 G37x coupe a few months ago, and really love it. It's Infiniti certified. When I bought it, I turned down the extended bumper to bumper warranty, but now I'm second guessing myself.

How much should a 10/100 extended warranty cost? The car is 3.5 years old and just hit 30k miles last week. Would it make any difference if I bought an extended warranty before the factory warranty runs out, or does waiting not matter?

You can buy anytime up until your factory warranty expires... Just keep in mind inflation means the price usually doesn't go down

if you had bought it before you hit 30k, it would have cost less. I just purchased the elite warranty on my 2008, but because it was still under 30K miles, I got the warranty for less than if I had waited.

I think the next tier kicks in at 40K so you might want to purchase before you hit 40k?

I just hit 50k on my 08 G37 and they're replacing the transmission as we speak. Definitely going for the extended warranty. Just got in under the wire on this one. Yikes. What timing.
