2012 G37 Sedan - Sports, Premium, Nav - Good Deal?

New member here - I am waiting to hear back from the dealer and currently have the vehicle on extended test drive.

As mentioned in subject, the vehicle is a 2012 G37 Sedan.

Packages include Sport, Premium, Navigation, Carpeted Truck, & Illuminated Kicks.

I've got the price at $39,956

Drive out price (tax, tag, title, processing fee) is $41,762.65

Oh yeah, I also get $1,000 in American Express gift cards (already tried to just get that applied to vehicle, no go).

Good deal? I plan to buy today.

Thanks for the quick reply. I feel like it would be extremely difficult to get a better deal. Edmunds has invoice with options at $40 226.

I began the extended test drive with 14 miles on the vehicle.

I have only been offered a few hundred dollars better on a similarly equipped 2011.

Do you all know if there are opportunites for 1.9% APR on 2012 Sedans? Dealership financing department tells me it's not available, only 2.9%

no, 2.9 for 37-66 months. Now with that said, if you are putting a substantial amount down (10k +) then you might be able to convince them to buy the rate down to 1.9% but it all depends on your negotiation skills.

I feel better knowing that I've qualified for their best rate. I will put 5-10% down so I cannot leverage substantial down, unfortunately.

I just spoke to another dealer and they're offering same car except 2011. Drive out $40,792 and I'll get the 1.9% APR

you can get the 11 for about 37,500-37,900 so not a good deal your otd should be in the 39's

I negotiated the 2011 down to $39,998. The dealership I'm dealing with for the 2012 didn't move on the 2.9%, but has given me the 2012 for another 24 hours to think about it. The car is in my garage and I plan to let them know I'm working on the 2011 and see if they can come lower than $39,998 Thoughts?

And thanks for the help!

That's tough. The 1% difference equates to about $20 a month or less. If that kind of money does not affect you, I would say to get the 2012 because it's a year newer.
