g37 coupe vs g35 coupe, s vs base
I have made the decision to make the switch from a 2010 base g37 sedan to either: 2008 base coupe, 2008 S coupe, or 2005-2007 g35s coupe.
Obviously there is a price gap between all of these, and I may be limited to the g35s and 2008 base. My question is mainly about the feel of the suspension, steering, and handling on these three. I will probably be going automatic, and all of these cars are plenty fast for me. My main gripe with the sedan is the soft suspension, and loose steering ratio. Obviously, I will be test driving the three, but I'd like your opinion first.
How does the g37 base coupe feel compared to the sedan? How do the three compare to each other? What are the handling limits on each?

Thanks. I'm really familiar with all the tech specs. I'm more looking for someone who has driven all three, or 2/3, and can give a direct comparison of driving feel. Also, before someone says "do a search," I did. I found another similar thread, but it was different and didn't answer my questions.

The S version will feel a little more sporty and will have less body roll than the non-s version. The G37 will have a bit more get up and go, but not alot. They're actually pretty close. If I'm not mistaken, the G37 has more low end torque, so it's a little more drivable than the 35, but the 35 slacker by any means.
From that list, I would recommend the 2008 S Coupe.

I'm not sure about the low end torque, but I do know that the VQ37 has a more linear torque curve than the VQ35's. I do prefer the g37s, but I'm not sure I'm going to be able to swing it financially, so it may be between a low mileage, clean g35s and a g37 base. Has anyone driven these two and can compare the handling?

Ive driven a base g37 sedan and my g37 s coupe, the sedan is a boat on turns without the stiffer springs, thats about it, a lot smoother ride, acceleration is the same. I say go with a coupe for a sportier feel.

Not sure where you live but I went with theG37X Coupe, 2011, Was very surprised how well it handles and the 7spd auto is EH, Gear hunts a lot, So I drive in M mode ALL THE TIME. Made good power and a lot of fun to drive. G37 Coupe FTW
