VPP "A" Plan is more expensive than Invoice?

Sorry for double posting, but not sure many people view the VPP thread.

My VPP A Plan price quote was:

$42,840 which is like $6000 off MSRP.

That's for a:
G37 X. BLK/BLK Premium and Nav

I went on Edmunds and saw the Invoice Price if $42,184,

Shouldn't an A plan be below invoice at least?

Im not sure about the A plan but I do know from experience with Ford's X plan that associate or employee pricing plans are usually a specific percentage above invoice, so that sounds about right to me.

That doesn't sound right at all... My x with premium and navi was closer to 38k.

Edit: sedan. I assume that's a coupe?

something isnt added up, either the a plan was no calculated right (although6k off seems right) or you messed up on edmunds. A plan is 2750 below invoice

I emailed the dealer back and they said "Oh It should be about 41800". Which to me means they're just basically making the number up.

It is for a coupe.

I was also told that Edmunds is often incorrect.

Not sure if this is it or not:
Vin:JN1CV6EL9BM262960

It was the most expensive G37X they had on their site, which I'm assuming means it comes with nav/premium etc..

Thanks!

When I bought my car with Plan A, it was 3.58% below invoice and waived delivery fee. Not sure how things have changed over the years. Should definitely be below invoice. When the economy was at its worst, people were able to negotiate deals that were just as good as Plan A (even saw some that were better).

It's easy. Just go to the VPP website, find out the percentage discount, and crunch the numbers yourself. If the dealer is giving you the complete run-around, maybe it's a sign to look elsewhere.

Wow thanks man. Yeah the second VIN I gave you was for a 2010 which I think is an error on their website.

so $41,000 is about where I should be looking?
