2011 G37S 6mt sedan leased...my thoughts
About a month ago I decide sell my FX45 and start to look at possibly leasing a new Infiniti. I still had my registration so I evidently qualified for "bonus cash" off a lease or purchase.
So being in Oregon I have one choice for a dealer. After driving a couple cars .coupe, sedan , X etc.. I decided on a sedan 6mt sport due to what Infiniti was pushing. So I run the numbers ,residuals/money factors etc.
As many of you know these cars come one way as far as packages (although the one I leased had the rear lip spoiler....BONUS) which was not available to be added on a sport 6mt on Infiniti's site when building a car.
Anyways ...I spend a couple hours at the dealership and to make a long story short. The sport 6mt car I wanted (black/graphite) was 469.00 a month for 39 months and about 1200.00 drive off (1st payment and acq cost)
My numbers don’t jive and I hit them back with what I want to pay. They don’t budge, so I called up north(Washington state) and they had the same car. They wouldn’t budge either...Finally ,called up further north in Washington where they had the same car. When I nicely told them what I was trying to do, he said DEAL.
He FedEx’s the paperwork , I drove up ,30 minutes at the dealer ..done
My numbers were 370.00 a month ,12K miles ,39months and 1,200 drive off/1st payment. I was happy with the deal. plus no taxes as I am an Oregon resident
I would love to hear some of your thoughts on why some dealers don't want to sell/lease vehicles..Is it a supply and demand thing?.They were really trying to push G37X Journeys/(premium package only) on me each time.
thank you to all the board contributors for making my choice easy

..
What was the MSRP and the selling price?
I leased a 2011 G37x Coupe w/ Premium, Splash Guards, Floor Mats [MSRP near 44k] for $360/mo [9% tax included] for 36/mo, 10k miles a yr three weeks ago.
My drive off out-of-pocket fee was less than 550 [1st mo/DMV etc]
This is my 1st Infiniti BTW so NO loyalty credit was given.

Really? Wow. A G37x with your options runs about $44450. Invoice is about $41k. Dealer cost about $39k. They would have had to sell you the car for $38k, absorb your bank fee and not charge you any dealer doc in order to make this deal happen. Did you even have a trade-in?
I traded in 2008 328i sedan [lease] 4 months prior to my lease return date and was able to get 24.5k [kbb excellent trade-in value] when the payoff was 22.5k. The reason why I didn't go back to BMW was I had to replace a rear tire [$300] and had a few scratches underneath the front bumper [re-paint $450], plus so many paint chips on the hood [nail can catch].
I think I did GOOD! Oh btw, your website helped me a lot! Thank you!

Oh I forgot to mention about the MSDs. I did total 9 to lower the MF. [$3600] and yes, their selling price was 39k. Bank fee [$700] was rolled into the lease so the selling price was $39700.

The funny thing was.. I couldn't make any extra $$$ off from BMW lease when I went to a few local BMW dealers to terminate my lease early. All they can offer was to end my lease early w/o $350 lease disposition fee [trade-in value = pay off].
I was being little mad so I decided to check out the Audi A5 instead. Audi's trade-in offer was 23k [pay off 22.5k] and the Infiniti dealer was right next to Audis so I went to Infiniti to see how much they can offer. It was 24.5k so I leased a G on spot.
All process took 2 days and I signed the lease on the last day of June.
I was paying $387 for BMW [MSRP 38k, no down, no MSDs, no trade-in] and now I am paying $360. [no down, $3600 MSDs, BMW lease trade-in]
